NO to TDM, YES to....FOOT RACES.

Game mode forces light bodytype. Maps specifically designed for it with checkpoints that need to be hit in order. No guns.

Variation: map has one “ball” spawn in the center. Each player has a goal for themselves and they have to retur the ball to it. Players drop the ball when slide tackled. First to 5 wins.

Let’s get creative people.

Why yes, that would be awesome. It might detract from the Objective-based stuff though.

Which is why you need specific maps

I’m all for it, including ‘trick’ maps and defrag.

You mean yes to SDK.

(Smoochy) #5

nice idea. kinda like the races in assassin’s creed?

you could maybe let players melee each other to knock them down

(Darrus Dreadtiger) #6

Why don’t we take this one step forward and make it an actual sport mode? With tackling and sliding and punching. Could be a popular Resistance past-time :3

I see what you did there.

A english city makes exactly a game like this every year in RL.The whole city participates in it.

But i don’t know anymore how it’s called but it’s pretty pretty brutal.Saw it on a german TV show.

If someone knows it plx give a link. ^^

2 factions, one ball, every faction has to get the ball to a specific point (If i remember correctly it was some sort of bridge or something),the faction who gets to ball to the bridge first wins the match for this year.

I like the idea.

too bad there wont be a sdk

dlc means no sdk
console also means no sdk

game developers do not seem to learn from the historical fact that sdk’s generate more sales than dlc’s (counterstrike anyone?)

i gave up long ago

etqw was released on consoles and an sdk was released.

I’d prefer to have a trick jump map made up of smart trick jumps in the game…

sounds like speedball. the old game from the late 80s/early 90s. what a game.

not sure on the english thing, im sure ive seen that somewhere too. and yes, if i remember right there are usually a few broken limbs. its basically how football (not USA football) started out hundreds of years ago. but back then they used a human head in a bag!!

Woa, i’d deffo like a powerball for brink. Honestly maps feel too 2d at the moment and smarting doesn’t feel like it should. I honestly hoped for something like walljump + pronejump through the window in reactor.

Both of Splash Damage’s previous games have SDK’s, as do Bethesda’s Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Three of those (Fallouts & ETQW) were console games and two of them (Fallouts) had a ton of paid DLC.
