No sound at all in the game

Hello everyone, old 2014 beta player here.

It now has been 5 month (since the last beta launch) I cannot play Dirty Bomb, and the reason is quite smple, I can’t hear a thing in game.

I tried plenty of times to unistall and reinstall the game, but nothing has changed so far. Some people told me on Steam discussions to switch my audio mixer (cahnge from 7.1 to stereo) but it didn’t solve anything, besides I don’t really want to play a FPS in surround.

If any of you can help me fix this problem, then please answer this thread.

Cause it has been 5 frickin’ month I want to play that game.

I’ve had a player resolve this issue by plugging their headset into another USB port. Please let me know if this resolves your issue if not please send in a ticket at http://support.dirtybomb.nexon.net/hc/en-us so that I can continue to assist you.

I have a similar problem, yesterday, i muted the voice-chat volume in game (or so I thought). It killed ALL sounds. And when i increased the volume back to as it was before, the sound is still gone. I have deleted config files, changed audio settings in both the in game menu and the main menu, re installed the game, nothing helps… still no sound… and changing USB wont help since my headset is not plugged in via a USB…

Well turns out I solved the thing myself, can’t say I don’t feel dumb after seeing how simple it was.

Just delete your ShooterGame folder in My Documents/My Games/UnrealEngine3 the game will recreate another one when you launch it (or just make a verification of files with steam if you want to be sure) and voilà.

Case closed you can lock the thread, feels good to play again.

@Hunkii I did that and it’s still not working. Also uninstalled and reinstalled the game and also updated my drivers. I lost all sound after turning off voice chat.
