No sound after switching device

When I switch my main device in the Windows 7 Sound window from my speaker to my headset while I’m in the game I can’t hear the game anymore. It doesn’t seem to switch with Windows.

You have to have your headset plugged in before you start the game in the launcher. If you don’t it won’t be recognized by the game. This is the case for a lot of games. I have this issue in DB, had it in ETQW, Brink and several other games

I think this is not exactly like that. My headphones are connected all the time but when I’m switching audio playback device from a/v reciever to a headphones, sound in the game doesn’t work. If I’m listening to the music in the background, music is still working ok.
So only solution for now is to close DB and start it again.

yep normally i use my headphones but when i choose to use my speakers while playing i have to restart

in fifa 13 it works so there is a solution for it.

I don’t quite follow you. What works in fifa13? Do you have any solution for it?
