No Server list

(Tha Gimp) #1

Hey

Just a little concern i’m having, I’ve searched for similar topics but aren’t really finding anything matching my issue.

I can’t find any servers when i click “search” in game, nothing comes up, filtering the search still bring up no results and when i check steam > view > servers, there’s stacks of brink servers listed.

I’ve port forwarded 27015, 27016 and 8766, firewalls off and still nothing. Anyone know what the issue might be?

Thanks

Same problem here. Nothing helps. Not a single server is listed.

  1. Ingame server list is empty
  2. Steam Servers list is empty

I’ve tried all of the following without any success.

  1. Disabled all software based firewalls
  2. Disabled router fire wall
  3. Forwarded router ports as instructed in this thread.
  4. Enabled DMZ
  5. Allowed router to pass anonymous incoming traffic
  6. Disabled UPnP from router
  7. Verified cache integrity in Steam
  8. Disabled Steam cloud
  9. Tried number of different filtering settings in Steam servers list

I have Windows Vista, 2Mb ADSL connection. I’ve tried using Buffalo and 11G routers
both, of which neither one works better than the other.

I haven’t had any issue with any other game like this before, and
i’ve played online FPS games like BC2, L4D, L4D2, and a number non FPS games.

Uncool. :mad::stroggbanana:

Try to install older video card drivers  I had issue with amd drivers, installed some unofficial drivers and no servers were listed then reinstalled old ones and wuola it worked. Strange things happen.

Just to make sure, you’ve let Steam apply all game updates? We’ve updated the network protocol version a few times now, so if your client is out of date it won’t see any servers.

Steam client reports that it is up to date.
I’ve also applied the AMD driver update that is available through the Steam menu.

Ingame server search literally reads “No servers”, so it doesn’t seem like
a graphichs glitch. Also, if i launch a freegame co-op, i allways end up playing with
bots, so that doesn’t work either.

So somethings is wrong with the server-client connection, but i can’t figure out
what it could be. Nothing is blocking anything, i’ve triple checked that there are not
firewalls on, DMZ is on, port forwarding is done, Windows is up to date, Steam is up to date, network connection is high speed.

I am behind a NAT, but i can’t see how that could affect anything. Router should handle that.

can you play any other Steam games ?
