no .prt file ??

Hi…

This is really weird…

I made a test map which compiled nicely.
I made a few changes, called it something else, and now it wont compile properly.
The .prt file does not save when I do a vis compile.
What are the reasons for this?

Thanks.

Your map probably leak. Search in your compilation log, if you find “leaked” in the bsp stage the portal file is not created.
Seal your map correctly and recompile.

Nope I have no leaks.
I instead did a more full compile, meta-vis-light-filter and everything is fine now.

I guess q3map needs more to do than simple vis, thats a good thing!!

Thanks.

You might have to add -saveprt (or something like that) to the vis command line that isn’t doing what you want.

:bored: It’s not a guess, the portal file is created during the BSP stage, you can’t do a VIS compilation if you don’t make a BSP compilation before.
