No map images

(GTBGranny) #1

Hi, I thought I’d start having a look at making another map.

My problem is that with both GTK 1.4.0 and 1.5.0 I get this when I start up the programs and load a map.

Can anyone give me a way to cure this problem.

I have reinstalled both the programs at least 10 TRILLION times.

I have just installed a GeForce 9800GT graphics card so there shouldn’t be any problems with that. (I assume)

Many thanks.

Do what pegazus said, and try compatibility mode in windows 98

may I point all of you to the right (not lame compability mode) solution?

1st It even stands on the official gtk webpage (http://qeradiant.com)

2nd here is it:

Special note for Vista-users:
You have to disable the desktop-styling in the properties of GtkRadiant.exe! In case of wrong menu-rendering you can switch to the “Raleigh” gtk-skin.
The gtk-theme can be changed in [install-folder]/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.
so disable desktop styling on the application and have a nice day mapping

doesn’t work went to that file in gtk 1.4 and the only thing i can change is the font.

Anyway, sorry to hijack this thread, but I am having a slightly different problem I can see all the windows fine, but when I press open, gtk shuts down and nothing happens.

Also when i go to preferences and try to define a path the same thing happens.

Read the bloody damn whole thread (The link i gave) before posting same things over and over :oppressor:
The same thing had been mentioned, many times (4 times to be on the safe side). And also it does not work always, but compability mode works.

God i need an icon for a Search emoticion, I just hope there won’t be another thread like this anymore

@stealth
Never happened to me before, but you are using Vista right?
