No Free Rotation Merc in Competitive

I think they should ban free rotation mercs out of competitive, unless you own them. Just how LOL has done in their game. This can also help limit the people who do not have a 3rd merc that they brought. The reason I am suggesting this is so people can’t jump in to competitive and try a merc they never used before and hurt the team, and to prevent people that have not played enough to buy a merc (You get 2 for free). This will make it more competitive and help create well balanced teams where people know how to use their merc to help the team. It can also create a goal for people who just got the game.

Not really, but it’s better to have them then a merc the person doesn’t know how to play.

Because we all know once you buy a merc you instantly know how to play them. I wouldn’t mind having to lvl mercs to play them in competitive like smite does.

That’s also a risk, but most people won’t spend 50k on a merc they haven’t used and will limit the number of people stacking free mercs to test them out. You shouldn’t use a merc you never have in comp. ever, so this fixes it.

Were you here last week with all the snipers who had no clue how to use him. He wasn’t free last week so that means they bought him.

We just need higher level requirement
It’s ridiculous that someone who ONLY played on max lvl 5 servers can directly jump into competitive after.
At the moment the min lvl 10 servers = the real competitive mode

In my opinion you should have unlocked a fixed amount of mercs (Lets say 3) before you can enter competitive AND be level 7 to have at least a common knowledge of the map layout and the mercs. And at the same time, the free rotation should not be allowed in competitive play, unless they are unlocked.

Competitive players spend insane amount of time playing any games anyway so that won’t be a problem.

I would raise it to level ten because then it will add a reason to level up because there isn’t any now. Also by the time you hit level ten you are going to know what mercs you can play well and what type of player you are. This would help create a better competitive scene.

I’d like this idea actually, Only being able to play competitive once you have 3 x level 5 mercs.

Also levelling your merc unlocks certain Skin colours for that merc.

I also believe that there has to be a 3rd free merc… an Engineer… like Fletcher

Why?

Theres now an Ammo merc (Skyhammer) and a Medic merc (Aura)
Would be cool to see a free engi merc (Fletcher) Why Fletcher? Cause Proxy mines everywhere would be disturbing and Sentry guns everywhere… well we can see with the free rotation is not rlly that fun either…

Bomb is planted, your team has to diffuse. No one is an engineer because no one can use a free rotation merc. Your team looses.

If no one owns atleast one engineer what the actual shit are you doing in a COMPETITIVE match

If you are level ten you would have to have one engineer. I’m level 10 and I have almost all the mercs unlocked and with bronze cards
