the basis of your argument is flawed, words only carry the meaning people give them, and that’s just straight up false equivalence

people choose to be offended over dumb things, and hell, let them
we shouldn’t wrap a towel over people’s eyes just so a select few don’t get their feelings hurt

lol, I’d really like to see one of you guys walk up to Mrs. M.L.King and say “Hey N******”
I’m sure your funeral would be lovely

a lot of good people died to get that word gone

Patti Smith " Rock n’ Roll nigger"

outside the society, that’s where I want to be

means something like “minority” or “outsider”. Thats all it means. Unless your a racist but that isnt the words issue - thats a dumb fuck human. Censoring a word isnt going to fix that

Jesus Christ was a nigger

Can’t be hard to add a filter in the settings menu for people who want it.

Voice dialog is something I usually turn off anyway, as I listen to music 99.9% or the time.
Any censorship is bad and should only exist as an “opt-in” setting. For example so parents can enable it for children.

If this is or is not a game for children is another topic

same should apply for forums but, as we all know, forums definitely are not a place for children
Like most things it’s not quite that black and white. Broadly I agree that censorship should be opposed but this is a video game and not political media, it’s about people having fun and I’d be fine with giving up a tiny amount of freedom to remove the most vile language to keep the experience more pleasant.

Which isn’t to say that I want it to happen, just that I’m not opposed.

It’s called freedom. In this way players have the liberty of expression. And I like it, as always freedom is a liberty which can be abused. We just have to accept it and hope for the best.

Ps. I am quite disappointed that the n word is still considered offensive since blacks call themselves like that and it is not always used as an insult.
