No Dirty Bomb sound on my headphones.

The issue started when in one game where some annoying sounding kids were shouting in voip. So my 1st action was to go to sound settings and lover the voip volume setting. I did so and it acted as master volume and lowered my game volume. Then i straight up disabled voice chat and then my sounds disappeared completely from the game.

I use 2 sound devices on my rig. My tv:s speakers through hdmi and a usb headset. 3 things i’ve tried to fix the problem. 1. reinstall the game. Didn’t work. although i think i should have deleted appdata files too but didn’t. 2. Tried rebooting the machine. didn’t work. 3. disabled my other sound devices and rebooted my machine. didn’t work.

Oh and i probably should mention game sounds work just fine on my tv and all other sounds work with my headset.

Any suggestions for fix?

edit: was following my windows mixer while playing. the green bar is jumping up and down in dirty bombs column but my headphones doesn’t still produce any sound.

edit 2: what fixed the issue for now was uninstalling my headphone drivers and reinstalling them. Will see if i can replicate this issue.

did you try the “volume manager” (right click volume icon on tool bar of computer). thats what worked for me. found out db had decided to play at 3 volume when everything else was at 16 volume XD

yep. tried that. for some reason when the problem occured db:s volume was moved to 0 but moving it didnt do anything. but driver reinstallation fixed the problem.

Same issue here, already did the fix concerning all sound not working by wiping my registry for shootergame on a clean install. Now the sound works on my speakers but i get nothing out of my headphones despite the fact that they pick anything else i run up.
I have tried adjusting the mixer while in game (everything stays where it should be) and my headphones are the default device, disabling the speakers doesn’t seem to help either

Driver reinstallation hasn’t done the trick either unfortunately

Do other games work via headset? This seems more of a hardware issue than a game issue.
