ET is very fussy about the exact sound file format.

I recently had the same problem until I read this forum post

Basically you take your original wav file and convert it like this;
- Saved file type must be PCM
- 22,050 hz
- 16 bit mono
- use SOX.EXE afterwards to correct the chunk info

Example:

sox gate1.wav gate1a.wav

gate1a.wav should be in the correct format for ET

I found the sox DOS executable at http://www.mills.edu/LIFE/CCM/DIDJERIDU/discography/DRxxxx/audio_formats.html

Good Luck

do i use a .bat file? i went through the list but im suck using sox

You could use a .bat file or just run sox directly from the command prompt.

Make sure you put your .wav file, .bat file and sox.exe in the same folder, otherwise you will have to add the file paths to your batch file.

Contents of the test.bat file could look like this:

sox gate1.wav gate1a.wav

I have only done this under Windows 98SE, although it should work under any version of Windows.

If you are running Linux then you should search for a version compiled for it - they are out there as well.

im using windows

i get this error

Sorry, missing data portion

whats it mean???

I cant find the Sox converter, or a converter that is free and converts the whole file instead of just 60%. This is the second last thing I need to do before I can release Storage_Facility_FP.

Thanks in advance.

Try this program: db poweramp

If I remember correctly, I used FixWAV, http://www.btinternet.com/~AnthonyJ/projects/FixWAV/
