No compile with terrain

(Black Death) #1

Everytime I export a terrain in EasyGen (51x50px), open the map in radiant en compile, it doesn’t give me a .bsp. With the exact same method, -without terrain-, it does. I can’t paste any errors since that compile window always pops away after it’s done :l

Anyone? Tia.

You need to post the error messages from the compile for anyone to be able to help you.

To copy your compile text press T or N after compiling is finished to bring up the dialog box. At the bottom of it you will see Entities | Textures | Console. Click on the console one and you’ll see your log. Just select and copy the text.

Thanks,

I get alot of ‘Searching for sprite --> not found’
‘Script file --> was not found’

And as error:
************ ERROR ************
Backwards tree volume

Tree as in green thing? :blah:

have you copied your pcx file into the etmain folder for the terrain ?

(SCDS_reyalP) #6

No. Not that kind of tree :stuck_out_tongue: That is likely the cause of your problem.

The sprite not found thing is harmless. Not sure about the script one, I would have to see the context.

Try the brush cleanup button in the lower toolbar.

@Fidel:

Yes, the alpamap went into /etmain and the metashader into /etmain/scripts.

Used the brush cleanup, same error. Still:

— MakeTreePortals —

Anyway, I followed this tutorial: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4792. I did everything it said :frowning:
