how to make a true night its a shader?

Ok I get the point. You want to create night map. There is no “true” night, just do something like this.

  1. Adjust your skybox sunlight to be not so bright.
  2. lower abient from worldspawn to 0 - 5
  3. Use lights and spotlights to lighten you map.
