Nice things here...

  • It’ll be nice to have a specific Squad ready to go if you join a map rather than fiddle with each merc and loadout to use. Sorta like index cards that you can move your mouse on a bar, scroll the wheel, and it’ll scroll on the merc sets you got[][color=“orange”]It’ll also be nice if you can mouse-over a specific merc on the squadand scroll (with scrolling animation and sound clinks) to change the loadout. FTU on Sept 2015 implemented a merc/loadout change via icon click. It’s not exactly a “fancy” mouse over as wished, but hey, it works []It’ll be nice to have more than 3 mercs per squad (1 Engineer, 1 Medic, 1 Ammo Supplier) because playing with scrubs.[]It’ll be nice if Elite case set will come with c20/30k because random bad augments. The Phoenix update brought out Elite Case sets with better odds at getting the loadout you want for a preferred merc and Expert cases more a more affordable price but hmmm Bronze loadouts come in 70%… and is pretty disappointing to get, considering if you just added a few more $ to move on to the next tier and at least be guaranteed a silver.[]It’ll be nice if on your birthday, you get an Elite case[]It’ll be nice to have some player stats[]It’ll be nice to have in-game HUD customization[*]It’ll be nice to have a map SDK of some sort so we design a series of games around a city block

Nice

Edit: Added some more nice things

Hmmm… getting the feeling that it’s your birthday.

(XavienX) #3

Um…I half agree and half disagree with your stuff. Pretty sure I’m not the only one.

(Nail) #4

totally agree with pre-made squads, want them back

I agree with the first two points, however they shouldn’t touch the Elite cases. In my opinion, they are fine right now. They’re rare for a reason.

Well, I think they should lower the price. $5.00 for a random loadout with a 1 in 5 chance of being gold or cobalt seems a bit high.

And why not get one on your birthday? It’d only be once every year.

(K1X455) #8

Nice number 4 means that if you get no cobalt and 4 silvers, you get a chance to trade up to gold or some sort.

Because they have zero way of confirming your birthday, as well that is still thousands of free elite cases they give out each year which could be very profitable for the as a company.

It’s Nexon you’re talking about here

Yeah, that same company that literally gave away over $500,000(If sold 1 per person at $10 each) worth of Fragger codes in addition to the free Elite Case event which saw over $200,000 worth of cases given away for free(Again, if sold 1 per person at $5 each).

Yeah, Nexon is so greedy and stingy. Never giving anything away.

I like the Birthday suggestion, but as mentioned before it would be ridiculously easy to exploit. There would need to be some minimum added to it, like a minimum purchase or minimum # of levels or something. If everybody who made an account with their birthday of tomorrow got a free case when they implement steam trading all hell will break loose, unless of course they bind the cases and the cards from them to account.

That is one thing I would personally like to see, bound loadouts/cases from the free events(when steam trading comes out in the distant future).

@ardez @RyePanda Five dollars for one Elite case is indeed really expensive and only 5 cases is already 20 dollars… the price would be much more fair if it was between 10-15 dollars.

Should put in your DOB when you registered with NEXON

Just a visual documentation of nice 1 & 2; You can either save a squad to a new one, edit a squad or delete a squad.

No, they’re not fine. The amount of RNG for the price is disgusting. They’re fine as bonuses to merc bundles or special events like the last “free elite case weekend”, but not as a thing to buy with real money.

I’m ready to support DB in form of a self-imposed MMO-level monthly subscription, but if all I get in return is Elite cases then nuh-uh, not happening.

(CCP115) #16

GIVE ME A CUSTOMIZABLE HUD INGAME PLEASE.

I’m far too lazy to do it myself, so you know.

(K1X455) #17

The problem with the current rotation is that everyone gets the same type of merc in the rotation. Only players that have unlocked several mercs can have more choices in their squad. With 5 on the squad, you get to maximize what’s on rotation, plus the free mercs (Skyhammer & Aura, assuming you’re starting out). Further, players who have unlocked mercs can opt to have two extra mercs to play in pubs, in case no one wants to be medic, objective specialist or ammo supplier. Having five mercs will increase the choice of player diversity, assuming they can play a diverse role on public games. Servers can be made to allow the default 3 or 4 or even 5 mercs and it’s up to server operators to vary what they fancy.

Here’s another take on the visual documentation; this time in merc squad menu

  • OnMouseClick : Enable Text Edit
  • OnMouseScroll : Animate Squad Roll Change

  • OnMouseMove : Highlight Current Loadout
  • OnMouseScroll : Animate Loadout Roll Change
