NGS and gaming mice.

I have two very well built gaming mice, the Razer Ouroboros and the Steelseries Rival, both of which have programmable buttons. I have assigned to these buttons the task of calling out “Quickchat” lines, for example, I’ll press the side button on my SS Rival and it will be like pressing V-2-2 on my keyboard and it will Quickchat to my teammates that I want ammo just like pressing V-2-2 on my keyboard would.

Is this allowed or should I turn off the mouse software?

Also, my mice have buttons that change DPI, this cannot be turned off, what do I do?

Thanks in advance!

The “mandatory” software necessary to make your gaming mice work as it’s supposed to are not detected as potential auto-clickers entries. I personally use logitech’s setpoint with no trouble, and I’ve never read issues with other factory software so far.

Besides, if you want to bind quick actions to some mouse buttons, I advise you to bind them in-game or through .ini files, which is possible. I hope someone could help you on that one, I’m not that lazy to know this kind of stuff :p…

Thank you. I really hope I’m not doing something wrong. It just seems wierd that people could get banned just for using a certain mouse.

That’s perfectly fine.

Don’t worry, issues would have already raised incredibly if we were not able to use our own mice as intended. I admit, those software/drivers have as much auto-click, bind and macros possibilities than most of the third party programs. But for now, as NGS is only detecting running programs and not their usage, they can’t afford to restrict these specific necessary softs from being used.

You running on a multicore cpu, bro? You better not be, or Microsoft can demand that you forfeit the use of the operating system.

@Runeforce at least you tried.
