Had a friend who actually still gained a rank when their team lost. He I think had top score in the match. So they are already taking into account your personal scores/stats/influence for your ranked progress. It would be nice to know the basics of what they are calculating and why.
Please no counting KDR as suicide engineer is a viable tactic and so is suicide revive medic who both often are negative score but actually help bring the team to victory by doing their job so well. Im guessing overall score is the most important stat because it SHOULD mean you are being impactful in some way. This is an objective game where kill literally dont win you the game but they often show who is winning. Ive had some matches where my team easily all were positive kdr which means whole other team was negative and we lose because of lack of team work and focus. We all focused on kills and doing our own thing instead of doing the objective.
Not overall score in its entirity because you can boost that buy throwing ammo or healing stations down. Hell even the secondary objectives like generators can be farmed.
Also suciding engineer is a pub tatic. It doesn’t belong in ranked if thats all the person is going to do. I am not talking about being negative as in slightly under 1/1. I am talking like being 0.2/1 for KD where people go 5 and 20 with possibility of more deaths and less kills.
If your team was all positive in kd and lost, then its because someone ninja through your guarded choke pt. I hate saying this but as important as obj play is. Killing and gibbing 2 enemy teammates per life is more important and wins the battle.
