Anyone have any clue who is the next merc is, and an ETA on release?
Next Merc?
well, based on the schedules so far; and since its not now, i imagine new merc every two weeks. So next merc in a week.

They mentioned that they balanced Fletcher’s machine pistol, in the set of patch notes recently, which seems a weird thing to do if the Merc isn’t out yet.
I don’t see why they’d introduce him next though, since there’s 2 Engis already. (Though I guess his sticky bombs would be for Aura-Fragger train breaks)
I’d still probably say Nader.
(Though of course I want Stoker.)
Most likely in their internal tests they have fletcher, so they balanced him accordingly. Esp. since his SMG has highest RoF in the whole game, and when he was out, was generally a second primary weapon (esp. compared to an overall inferior fletcher/rhino shotgun)
Besides his SMG, he always seemed very weak to me, his charges always did very little damage imo compared to nades and proxy.

That’s for the next free rotation (and it was obvious from miles away). But for the next merc to be released, I’ve got to go with Nader because of popular demand, the need for a second assault to mix things up, and this (could be Kira as well, but that would be a big surprise considering how long she’s been benched).
I read somewhere MissMurder saying that Fletcher was fairly close to be released. I may be wrong though. We just got an engineer Merc, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nader released instead.
Some questions about Nader: she has a grenade launcher and grenades detonate instantly when they hit anything? They instakill too?
If yes to all I think this merc should be removed entirely

As far as I know, Nader’s grenade launcher works a bit like the Demoman’s grenade launcher from TF2 : it directly explodes if it touches an entity (enemy, machinery), but won’t expolde if it touches the world. So you have to aim where your target will be, no where your target is. I am not sure though.
By an extent, you may also use it for area denial.

i think its fly-time dependent.
if the grenade hits someone directly from up close they explode on contact. But if the touch you from a distance, they bounce off of you.
I really hope its redeye or rhino we already have 2 medic 2 engis 2 ammos, but only 1 frag/snipe class.
