I hope it’s RedEye or Thunder, Phantom is a nonsense merc who bring nothing to the game except frustration.

According to what I said before I don’t think that will be one of them, but I might be wrong (Btw. it’s impolite to say bad things about Merc that somebody might like. My advice is: “next time keep it for yourself”)

Devs didn’t say they fixed “him” tho. “He” only “changed”. So it might be both of them since they were both deleted from Closed Beta. And also Fluffy mentioned his unique gamestyle, but it doesn’t mean “unique” fits only Phantom. Tbh I think being able to Self-revive is also unique because it makes Phoenix a bit more of a combat medic than ex. Sporks.

I don’t think devs set a specific date. All we know is “soon” and roughly every two weeks…? So sometime this week if we’re lucky. Cross your fingers.

Don’t know when it’s usually announced. Sometimes it’s Monday and the other day it’s Tuesday. But probably Nexon will release the Merc role-call today during their stream (at least I hope they will)

hoping for red- eye; i have a longer range slot i need to fill and his smoke grenade seems nice to have for utility. I would also be fine with stoker (roughly the same roll) or phantom (for teh lolz).

idk why it’s like that either, but whatever. We’ll probably have an announcement for downtime sometime this week. That’s when you can expect him to become available for purchase.

Okay, let’s just change to topic a bit to “WHO WILL BE THE NEXT MERC?” I suspect RedEye but I could see Stoker (with Phantom it would be a pleasure to see Stoker as he can most certainly counter Phantom) or Phoenix next. Thunder would be cool too if they make it so his grenade can disrupt electronic devices as well as provide the flash effect. Would counter Phantom, Aura, Bushwacker, Proxy, and Fletcher (or rather counter their abilities) while being extra annoying to everyone else.

As we know from SD stream Mercs from Scrubs trailer were there for a reason. SD said they might be releasing Mercs from the trailer faster than the rest (and now we are only missing Phoenix and Turtle). Last time I made a prediction (it’s on the 1st page) it was Phoenix or Phantom. Many people predicted Phoenix since Sparks update and I guess they are disappointed to see that he wasn’t released instead of Sparks or Phanotm.

If we follow the streams we might find out some hints about the next merc. For now my prediction is: Phoenix

I hope it’s not phoenix, he will bring nothing to the game, stoker / redEye / thunder are far more interesting even turtle, i’m very curious about him, i never played him in the closed beta.

It’s the 2nd time you do say it about some merc. Last time it was Phantom and now it’s Phoenix. What’s the point ?

That’s only the truth, phoenix is just another medic with a spg, compare too RedEye with a smoke grenade and a unique weapon or thunder with flash grenade and unique weapon too…

I really want the smoke grenade, the metagame will change.

Everyone waits for his own favourite Merc. Calling him “just another medic” you say it like he will not change anything in game (and makes you the “enemy” of all his fans)

Well be prepared to hear lots of trash talk about it after he’s released.

I’m thinking the next merc will be Phoenix too. Well… I’m hoping, anyway. I think it’s probably more likely it’ll be Phoenix over Turtle, because Phoenix is the poster-child for the game. He’s on the main page of Dirty Bomb, and there’s already a Steam trading card of him. He’s very iconic to this game, so I’d be surprised if he wasn’t next.
