Nexon = competitive play a joke?

So I’ve played on Aeria unfortunately since ijji got shutdown and they ruined SF1/2 and AVA and won’t pay any money for clan systems or to send a US/EU team to NATS or for anything on their website unless it involves people spending $. So is Nexon like this? Where they only spend money on ways that people can spend money on the game or do they spend money on nationals or to make there websites better ex: top rankings list or clan system?

So far this game is for pub staring or playing w/ good players in 10+ servers, or competitive if u want to play w/ ur friends but not really “competitve games” unless you happen to have a clan/good friends vs clan, so atm the competitive scene is next to nothing in this game.

Hey, another ijji A.V.A. player. So far I think the only competitive environment for clans are the events hosted by dirtycups and LLL I believe. Not sure what Nexon’s plans are on competitive for clans in the game.

It’s worth noting that Nexon aren’t the developers of the game. Splash Damage are.

There is a decent comp. scene in this game with dirty cups and there tournaments. But splash damage does need to take steps to internally implement competitive play in their systems. My suggestion is bring back the old profile page from earlier in alpha/beta. Then add top players for comp. wins and what - not. Advertising dirty cup tournament finals and other similar info would go a long way in supporting the comp. Scene. But i think the developers do want to support a comp. scene and at some point will bring these features out before release. An api would also be nice for dirty cups to then take more control on certain things like stats or management etc… Its all up to the developers top priority’s and right now i believe their top priority is merc releasing and balancing.
