newb question, how to make my map "hostable"

hey I have completed my map but I keep failing when I try to put it inot ET main so I would like to know how to put it in there and host the game not (using /sv_pure 0, /g_gametype 2, and /devmap *Name)

you need to make a .arena file for it, and if you want it to be downloadable, you will need to make a .pk3

well I after reading the sticky again I still don’t quite understand it.

I haven’t seen any .arena files in my pak0.pk3 (zip) there are objdata files though, perhaps they are them?

I also don’t understand how to make a pk3 out of it, I dont really need the tga’s or the other stuff witht the loading menu all I need to do is make it so that I can play it in the computer lab.

objdata is used to describe the state of the objective in the limbo menu …

you have arena files in the pak0.pk3 il the “scripts” folder

you have to create one for your map in the scripts folder. Mapposition are athe coordinate of the map name in the ET splash screen.
