This is a colleague of mine who has been revolutionizing the direction of competitive motion control gameplay. This test is of course in Dirty Bomb.
Enjoy!

Where is the proof that he is actually using a wiimote? This could easily just be a random video of him playing with mouse and keyboard.
See all our other videos… He usually shows the split screen using wiimote. We are kind of past that- proof phase, sorry- its kind of immaterial at this point.
This is the internet. Your channel only have 75 subscribers. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from faking something like this even though you have a few other videos where you play games with wiimote. Sorry, but this video doesn’t prove anything.
First of all, this isnt my page
its my colleague who does a lot of the coding, also as I said, you can see the slightly earlier videos of live feed using the wiimote. Anyways, happy crusader, I forgot to mention- I have been discussing a lot of our work with a lot of developers of either AAA games as well as motion controller developers- long time relationships of throwing ideas at each other. They could not tell this was not a mouse, in most other videos it was clear to the trained eye, but now- this is the BEST compliment we ever got so far!!!
If you cannot tell it isn’t a mouse, that is fantastic, and I mean it without sarcasm!

He did not say that.
I can back-up this. In all videos the movement with the Wiimote does not make any sense if you compare it to the movement of the in-game character. It just looks like someone is moving really bad with a mouse and a cut-in bad video of a guy playing around with a Wiimote.
I’m pretty sure this will revolutionize the competitive scene!
And can I get a NintendoDS controller for Dirty Bomb please?

Who is ‘he?’ Because I talked to several groups
So I’d love to know your source!
The funny thing you mention here is- a true lack of knowledge how the motion control works for FPS versus ANY game done on a wii. This is an apples and oranges comparison- mainly because to translate the movement to a fixed 360 artificial sphere using at this moment hardware that was meant to be used with the processing equivalent of a toaster. Nintendo REALLY had no clue what they slapped together in some degree- because their background is mainly 2d gaming- they never took the consideration seriously that a wiimote could be used for fps competitively - not just immersively. And that is one of the most salient points- how to use a wiimote to be on par with the gold standard of a mouse and keyboard- and reduce the level of immersion for games like csgo and dirty bomb. You cannot have both at high levels of competitive play. But, the option is there to include or simulate this immersion- you can gesture like mad any way you like for horror games or tps or games like tomb raider. Very appropriate there. But for Dirty bomb, no gestures- except for quick melee or reload, for example. Otherwise you lose the ability to compete with the speed of response of a mouse.
Regardless, it is NOT about pointing- unless you are playing a menu driven or railshooter title. It is about the gesture translating to rotation of an invisible cursor translated to simulate a first person viewpoint. If you wrap your head around it this way- then you may start to pick up the nuances of the motion control itself.
I’m really glad you said that
This is my point, this is dogmatic thinking. What if we fixed a 10 year long problem? People had been killing themselves to get this far. This is what I am talking about. This really isnt a troll post, you have to understand that if we wanted to make the wiimote competitive, it HAD to be competitive in the fastest twitch games. So we do regular quake live testing as well. And it is going excellently.
Also, maybe I’m missing something, but if this game doesn’t have controller support, why it has wiimote support ?
wiimote is recognized as a generic HID- using the bluetooth within the hardware.
And about your question of why? I’ll just tell you the reason why I do, maybe that will help:
So besides being competitive, a wiimote in this way is also freeing- you can play it well and intuitively easily without having to sit in front of a screen. And it can open a whole world of play and enjoyment to people with disabilities. So, there’s my answer
There was only @Hibbsan you spoke to in this thread.
I also have some point to add. There are plenty of FPS games on the Wii. And if you ever saw someone playing one, you will see the normal movements of the nunchuk are very different to those you’re doing. They make sense, while yours/your friends don’t make a sense. Not directly, not mirrored.
But, if you actually made a Wii-nunchuk support, you have no issues with telling how you actually did this and which software you used so I can test it with my nunchuks I have here.

You make my point for me- we broke the mold- as I said before- the wii one is a toaster, the processor cannot handle the graphics AND the inputs from the motion controller. In fact the wiimote is still way ahead of its time as a stand alone vehicle.
the ‘you have no issues’ comment. What does this even mean? I am already here on a forum showing the progress
I don’t know why it’s so hard to understand. “If you have this done. And you have a working software ro something. I have a Wiimote and Dirty Bomb here. And I want to test it. Show me how I do it.”
No dice. You may follow our group and watch the live twitch streams of Nicoreda if you want
Besides, doesn’t sound like you are disabled.
Darkcola has been doing this as long as Nexon has been involved, whether it works, no idea but he’s been at i for quite a while
almost 2 years haha. First ones were ok but never great, but that just means keep working until we have what we have now! Thanks for noticing that btw. It isnt a post of support, but just nice to see that you were paying attention!
