New version of Bobots, bots for ET.

A new version of the Bots for ET is done, this version will be soon ready for download at our sponsor www.rtcwfiles.com , have a look and as soon as possible this version will be public.

What new?

  • Bots prone,
  • 6 maps from the original ET game,
  • IA improved (bots wait when they are alone)
  • WP in maps improved,
  • Bots use cabinet,
  • Add support maps :
    caen,
    mp_sillyctf,
    mp_beach,
    stalingrad.
  • Bots defend positions instead of stupid rush,
  • When Bots see an ennemy they follow him to kill :slight_smile:

This is wonderfull news! Any change we could have some documentation on waypoint system to include bots on our own maps.

bots for et > most other things.
Is there any chance that I can take one of my custom maps, and add waypoints, and play against bots on that map? Just for fun. (Im curious.)

Loffy. I asked the same thing when the last version came out but there were no support for that. I figured out that there were somekind of waypoint mode where I could create waypoints, but bots only ran circles where the nearest waypoint were.

Bobot could be wery nice to test balance with custom maps.

We are working on tutorial to add way points in a map, we hope making this tuto for the end of october… we hope because this tutorial will be change and improved each versions which could be on line. We understood that a lot of people want to make WP for bobots as we see that in our forum so we will make a simple tutorial unserstandable by a lot of players as soon as possible.

It is a small server with a campaign for the XP, humans vs bots, with the new version, the 0.2 in :slight_smile:

Tiger please put your MOD to http://www.pcgamemods.com please. That is really good site and easy to use. I have waited this mod like grazy.
I want to host bobots myself.
Do you get the server side files (meaning all the nessecary files to host game with mod) by connecting your test server?

=> No idea. It takes so long because they dont receive or read my 4 mails and my request on their site. They evluate nothing but only post it…

But, i need a sponsor all the ime and who can give me bandwitch to enable others players to download files we made and not only some times or “temporarily” and this enable players to download all the time with a maximum download and in a site which is knwon by a lot of players.

I don’t think so. I remmember sending them my own update (voicechat & skins) and not only they never posted it on the site, they didn’t even replied to me explaining why.

But…maybe they’ve changed in the mean time…
