New update - extra button "restore purchases"

Hi all,
Does anyone know what this new button does?
I’m too nervous to press it in case it resets things.

If you have network connectivity problems it sometimes can happen that a purchase is already charged on the apple side but was not credited to your account yet. In the past you just needed to attempt the purchase again and it will credit you. This however was user unfriendly and now there is a button that looks at all your past purchases and applies the ones that have not yet been applied automatically.

Just a further question, if you are using 2 devices with 1 account do you need to purchase map pcks for both?

No, that’s one of the uses of that button, it will automatically download any purcheses you have aquiered before hand.

No, your purchases are associated with the account. Just use the same account to sign into either device.
