ok, im trying to make a shooter_mortar, and it doesnt want to work. First off, do u need a script for one, and the second is how do u put one together, i got a func_door (representing a button) targeting the shooter_mortar, and i got the shooter_mortar targeting a info_null. The info_null is also targeting a target speaker. My friend says that i didnt need a script for it, but im not really for sure about that. Can anyone help me fix my mortar

But I think too that you don’t need a script.
I think you only need a trigger (not sure which one) which targets (key: target / value: targetname of shooter) the shooter.

lol ok i looked at it, and im baffeled. Im not smart enough with the program yet so i dont know what all i need to change to make it work. Thanks for showing it to me though. I never would of thought a shooter would be this hard. Can anyone give me some more tips on a shooter_mortar or shooter_rocket?
maybe u should open the mp_beach map from rtcw. When axis gets out of up bunker spawn they trigger a shooter mortar
i know, ive seen something like that, but it was another map, it was still on RTCW though. I dont know what all i need to do though to convert from RTCW to ET, cause i noticed some changes and i dont know what to do. That is a good idea though…only if i knew what to change and all though lol.
Also i would like it to be like a cannon, u press the button and it fires sort of, i guess that would be best lol.
Make a func_button. Give it a target shootermortar1. Make the shooter_mortar and give it a targetname shootermortar1. Give it a target shootermortar1_target. Make an info_notnull and give it a targetname shootermortar1_target. This should make the mortar shoot every time someone pushes the button. If you don’t have the func_button entity in GTK Radiant, you can probably use a func_invisible_user instead.
ur right, i dont got a func_button. but how would u make a func_invisible_user do it?
Also, could someone show me a good tutorial that would help me make a Forward Spawn
EDIT: i found a good movie tutorial of that site where they r all in german, i got everyhting working so far but when the allies grab the flag, it quies and it says that g_scripting thing, then says it cant find setautospawn, i got it though and i dont know what is wrong cause i noticed the setsutospawn is also the description of the Team_wolf_objective adn i got that, but is there another setautospawn im suppose to have also?
