[QUOTE=Schwarzeis;290166]How is it a part of the head?

Please explain further, Toka

The Eel Facemask > Face only
The Eel Vest > Chest only, hoodie lowered
The Eel Shirt > Chest only, shiny as gold
The Eel Pants > Pants only

These are the parts of The Eel Archetypes’ item-set

This shouldn’t be an issue if anything is correctly balanced. Guns aren’t even the big issue compared to the fact that people who have higher levels have more abilities.

I was heavily hinting at there not being any headgear for The Eel except for the mask which goes onto the face

Or are you saying that option comes up for choosing in the head-wear section if you wear The Eel’s vest?

If it now is like this, I must say - Damn nice, but nothing has been confirmed yet :l

Cheerz Deathshroud, nice work

(iezza) #29

Ive seen it in some recent vids too

(PsYcHo) #30

Thanks for that.
A little bit dissapointed that so much weapons are already unlocked. But, it’s okay for me
Can’t wait!

(Mustang) #31

Same here actually
I was expecting 1 weapon to be unlocked in each category, so about 4 or 5 in total
Then 20-40 challenges to unlock the rest

And that once unlocked it would be account wide, not character specific (it probably is this anyway)

(tokamak) #33

They’re favouring tactical flexibility over grinding.

(DouglasDanger) #34

People are complaining because thing are unlocked? Earlier, people were complaining when it was announced you would have to unlock some of the attachments. Geez.

(Mustkunstn1k) #35

Believe it or not, but a good unlock system is what keeps players keeping these days. Players keep counting xp and waiting for the next unlock.

Brink could’ve been great in this department, so many clothes, weapons, attachments etc.

Atm it feels like peopla are gonna max out a few characters quickly and the value of xp and helping teammates might even go down.

Personally I am okay with the current situation, it is what it is. But Brink could definitely hold more players for a longer time if they would always have something to unlock. Or even “prestige”.

(blackjack3578) #36

is their still a bayonet?, i saw it n the newer videos.

(throwback8) #37

While I can see where your coming from I have to disagree. Splash Damage have stated many times that as with abilities, weapons do not neccasarily get better or overpowered as you unlock them. Instead they open up new options for you on the battlefield. Working to unlock that next ability or piece of clothing will be amazing and will give a sense of progression, but it would have been nice to feel the same with the weapons. That said, this is somewhat countered by many of the attachments needing to be unlocked. Either way I know the customization will be amazing and I understand the point of view that giving players some options from the get go is a good and balanced idea.

whats that cool shirt? the noise? or something. i want it!

Actually I have to say I don’t need leveling (Im also playing much games where you can’t unlock anything. Like RO or UT3). And I don’t need 10000x unlocks. Neither my clan needs that (because we are more into competitive gaming).
But still its a (only a little bit, like I said :P) disappointing because even if I don’t need it, a Unlock System with much unlocks is a nice thing  But since there are much Attachments, Clothes etc etc I think there will be enough to unlock.

(Mustang) #40

I wouldn’t consider 20 10min challenges grinding
It’s offering the customer more content, fun things to compete in (fastest times to complete maybe) etc.

Even if it was considered too grindy you could always add the requisite that it’s only campaign weapons that require unlocking
Then the comp crowd, that are the usual suspects against grinding, won’t whine
And the SP guys will have more to do so they won’t be moaning either

Just saying if it were me this is how I’d have done it
And I hate grinding as much as anyone
