New recon idea (obviously W.I.P.)

Possible names so far: Nachzehrer/Blud/Mesmer
Hp:110
Speed:420
Primary weapons:M4/Timik and another one between Dreiss/Br-16/Stark (if the devs have a change of heart and decide to make new weapons i’d like a FAL but i doubt they’ll ever will)

Secondary weapons: Caulden/M9/Simeon.357

Abilities: so far i made up a few ideas so i will list them in each “section” so to speak, the base idea is that he has 2 active abilities and a “passive” one that works as a passive counter;

Ability1 (active):
1)Sacrifice a downed enemy and use his soul to know the location of his teammates for 5 seconds. cooldown 30secs(the problem i see in this is that the enemy will just press k rendering it useless so i tried to “fix” it in the second possibility)

2)sacrifice an enemy soul to know the location of his teammates. cooldown 30 second

Ability2 (active):
1)accumulate the souls of 5 enemies and use them to “freeze” the enemies in your sight in fear for 1 second (might be op i admit). cooldown 1 Minute

2)accumulate the souls of 5 enemies and use them to make the enemy team see illusory enemies (kinda impossible since it would require the devs to make a bot AI just for this). cooldown 1 Minute

3)accumulate the souls of 5 enemies and use them to make the enemy team see your teammates as allies for 10 secs(it would “just” require to change the colour of the outline and names). cooldown 1 Minute

Ability3 (passive): kill an enemy to steal his soul, to use on the other abilities . max souls pool: 5 souls

“Please allow me to introduce myself, I’m a man of wealth and taste, I’ve been around for a long, long years, stole many a man’s soul and faith…”

“Strange man this old guy… he says he’s a medium or something like that… but i don’t believe in ESP or mediums, i think he might be some cold war experiment or a really persuasive hypnotist, what i know is that he gives me the chills and i don’t care what he says he is, i just want him on my side instead of the enemy allright?”

Age:40-50?

Nationality: depends on the name i guess, Nachzehrer is a soul-sucking monster that is native to the northern regions of German folklore, Blud is an evil-deity that causes disorientation and leads a person aimlessly around and round from slavic folklore and Mesmer is from Franz Anton Mesmer who theorised the Mesmerism wich is some sort of forefather of Hypnotism. So Nachzehrer-German Blud-East Europe Country Mesmer-German

Aesthetics: Black boots, Camo trousers, green/dark gray military high neck sweater, armpit handgun holster, tactical belt pack on his back, light grey hair, light blue eyes(nearly white) and glasses(?)

and yes if you think he looks like someone else you’ve seen somewhere else you’re right, but i hope it’s not a problem, afterall there is another merc in the game wich looks like someone else

isnt the idea of a ''souls reaper ‘’ too irealistic to fit in dirty bomb ? and does assist give souls too ?
personally i cant even imagine how his back story could be

Eh… you’re right, i wrote it down like in a stream of consciousness without thinking much about that factor, also in retrospective getting souls to use your abilities is kinda retarded when the enemy can use his abilities at will. i’ll think about something that will make it more realistic eliminating the souls and ESP factor to it, i have a couple ideas that would use technologies if they’ll seem fine i’ll update the thread in a couple of days if mods won’t delete it, i’m gonna work on it a bit more than 30 min like the stuff up there :slight_smile: thanks for the feedback mate

What about, instead of sacrificing a soul from a downed enemy, what about hack their communication for like 2-3 minutes?

I do like the idea of an ability which gains counters based on kills: it would be easy for newer players to use, and make them feel rewarded for doing well. Against high-skill players, it might give them a brief advantage. My only concern for a counter-based skill would be that it might allow a skilled player to snowball easily, unless a cap is placed on max charges. - More on topic, supernatural stuff kind of clashes with DB in my mind.
