Armedmanus: Im not sure if I should be insulted when you say it takes no skill in winning with just Daves…

Id like to point out I sugested hosting a tournament where each toon were only to be used once in every game! I even sugested 20p games. But seeing im the only one here not afraid to chunk in some real cash to participate, the tournament never took place… Sad.

I dont own any toon either, I hate Ivan, dont own him, might never get him. I dont have any with a turret, no suds and the fat new guy… I might get this toon with a rocket next seeing he has a cool gun…

So yeah a tournament where only the BASIC toons are used could be ALOT of fun. Or a tournament with only 2 Squadmembers…

At the end though I only play 4 fun, I dont really care if I win or not. But I do not cheat nor do I feel I deserve to be called a crap player because my playstyle is different then most. What is the fun of having the best setup all the time??? I hate those who play always with 300hp toons, lame, most of my matches now are random. Or I go all Dave crazy =:P

yeah the cash idea was a non starter. were all broke:)

I do think that the people who complain the most about unbalanced squads are just being wussy. If a certain set up is so great, use it yourself. They just want to restrict the game to way THEY play. Yuck.

I’m actually getting a little over this tourney, people are so uptight, “oh I cant play because its 20pts” please. Its-a-fricking-game, have a little fun already.

Anybody up for a game where your opponent picks your squad and tries making it as useless as possible?

I recently played an all-Engineer (for both players) game on Old Town. Total bloodbath - IIRC there were only 2 toons standing at the end, and either would have fallen to a shot from a Cold Automatic.

I like that idea. I’ll play. PM me with details of what you have. I can field just about any squad (yes, I bought my way up so sue me).

In the discussion about tournys, I suggested something similar: matched squads with under-used toons (with the assumption that those toons are weak as determined by free enterprise and the players).
