New player here: first thoughts about DB and question

Hey there,
Just wanted to make this thread to congratulate and thanks the developers for creating this game.

I’ve seen Dirty Bomb quite a few times in the Steam F2P games list and I must admit that I’ve never even tried to download it back then due my poor free time.
So, I’ve just downloaded it (like 5-6 hours ago, if not less) and been playing non-stop since then.

DB’s addictive, well built and the balance (of mercenaries and weapons) seems pretty correct.
I did not see any suggestion section though, maybe there’s a reason for it ? (search function ? never heard of it)

Anyway. Hopefully this game will have a bright future.

Suggestions can be posted in the according subforums under Maps, Mercs & Weapons. or just in the General section. It’s considered good netiquette not to open a new thread for each single idea, so you should try and bundle them together in a meaningful way.

Stick with it and don’t let all the old haters in here turn you away from it.

Many folks in here have stuck with the game for 2 years by now and have seen it change so much that they have some pretty harsh opinions

Keep improving and don’t forget to plant the C4 and repair the EV

Going to be honest with you mate: Balance is still pretty dumpster here. Wait until your honeymoon phase passes, and then you’ll see.

The only reason I found out about DB was because I streamer I watch decided to try it out. Never even heard of it beforehand…

That totally depends on what you consider being the top notch of balancing in video games.
If you tell me CS:GO, then I’ll have a good laugh.

For many reasons, DB is an incredibly hard to balance game, and so far, at the only exception of the phantom drama, most of the recent balancing updates were good steps forward.

Good to see new folks aroun here m8! DB needs more love in a form of more players coming in.

A dont forget that loadout cards are fixed and they are all just about cosmetics.
