New Obsidian Loadouts suck!

So the skins look incredible, I really like them. However, the cards chosen are mediocre at best and a bad choice in my opinion. If we’re paying real money for the cards, shouldn’t we either get the option of which loadout we receive or get the popular community vote?

I will most likely purchase the cards anyways to show support and because I’m still sad I never got the chance to pick up the founders cards. But, it throws me off a bit that these were the loadouts picked for the mercs. The best case scenario would be the option to pick your loadout! $30 for 3 cards? You would think that option is available.

Maybe in the future this can be considered? (or just give the option to switch your loadout right now if you already purchased them). As a side note, I’m liking the Ranked points boosters and Battle Hardened trinket. I also like how we were finally given some things to spend our credits on (Obsidian Aura and Crafting Week). Although, it would be better to just fix the crafting system- I know it’s being worked on! :wink:

The fletcher loadout is one of the best (yeah yeah no lock on but drilled + quick draw)

The stoker/arty ones indeed sucks

Arty is mediocre, Stoker’s is trash.

Stokers loadout is terrible, Arty’s could be worse, but Fletchers is OK.

Our whole Fsn crew here in Australia was pretty keen to get their hands on skins like this and willing to throw their money at it, but after seeing the loadouts literally all of us were in a state of “no… why…” and basically now we’ll probably not get them.

They actually don’t suck though. Fletcher’s BL21 is one of his best cards, Arty’s B73 is on par with B81since Focus is a god-tier perk and Quick Draw is great for pulling strikes in a pinch, plus combined with Focus it makes it less likely that you will miss/cancel it if someone shoots you. Stoker’s is the only “bad” one because Double Time and the Deagle suck, but at least it still has Focus so it’s usable.

Maybe I should have worded it differently. The loadouts aren’t necessarily terrible, but for $30, you’d think we’d be able to either choose our loadout or get what the community considers the “best” ones.

The prices are pretty bad yeah, I’m not buying because of that. If they announced a way to reroll or outright choose the card I want then I’d jump at it.

Fletcher’s is top tier while the Stoker and Arty loadouts are middle of the road - far from sucking IMO.

Pub stomping is easy enough with default cards anyways :smile:

Paying $30 for 3 loadout while can’t choose by yourself. I thought having the best loadout is the way to attract more people to buy it. Am I the only one who thinks this is the way to make money?

My thoughts exactly. I don’t understand why they chose these loadouts. Choosing our own loadouts would have been best.

@everlovestruck Since you hit disagree on that comment. I would be happy to see a different opinion with a clear explanation on that one, which in fact, I never thought how is that not going to make more money than the current way, or you disagreeed on something else. I am really curious.

May be their tracking showed lot of people using these loadouts. You never know with these lvl 7s buying and crafting bronze, playing with God knows what cards and ruining the data.

I doubt it, besides the fact that we (SD probably knows it too) know what are some better loadouts, those new players will get to know what are the top tier loadouts time to time. Not to mention the majority of the old players keep using those top tier loadouts, and what loadouts are being using in each tournaments. I believe, it is very clear what loadouts are the best/top tier for each merc.
