New Merc Unlock Model

The goal would be to improve player experience but also create more consistency. Choosing specific mercs that can’t be spammed could confuse players more and doesn’t match up with any way DB is being played. Should be all in or not at all IMO. As stated in the OP - there should still be a place for trying new mercs, Vas stacks, and melee only. I just think it should be separated a bit to provide better matches to the players that want them and grow the ranked/comp playerbase.

From the CMM test it seems players do want a 1-merc limit at least in ranked so maybe SD will do something with that feedback.

Just making rotation a more regular thing would do the trick…

I propose keeping the rotation thing but making it different for each player. Think about it: If you had the same mercs on rotation, there will be a spam of the playerbase favorite of that rotation. So, the best way to avoid the Nader/Proxy spam is to give each player a rotation (now, obviously there are only so many combinations you can have with 17 mercs, so some players’ rotation will have to be the same as some others.)

Im torn between yes because I dont like it when there is Nader+proxy spam, and no because unlocking mercs creates a sense of progression that, if removed, will take away the good feeling when you buy a new merc. It will become like Overwatch where having access to all heroes becomes overwhelming sometimes.
