How does she look?
She is slim with a Phantom style assassin feel. What looks like slim speakers attached to her back plate with the mesh effect over them. She should be either Russian or Korean and have a personality that seems almost like a serious female club DJ. That strange place between welcoming and hostile where many of her lines could be taken as either good or bad depending on the situation. I almost envision the kinda make up you would expect in a night club but with a more serious twist using darker colours and thicker lines.
Something like this in feel. Just prettier with more colour.
Her Story…
Quite a simple one really… While working as a DJ in Korea or Russia she meets Phantom. They started dating and she would give private DJ sessions to Phantom and his crew while they was out on missions and all was good. However, there was one contract Phantom received that required bypassing multiple hi tech sound sensor security systems. Static suggested using a new form of white noise and created a device that would emit a frequency that should disrupt the sensors. The one catch, she demanded to go on the mission as well. The mission was a success and where she picked up the alias Static. She has been rolling with Phantom ever since on missions. Since then they have separated but are still on good terms. (crazy right)
Ability 1 - Static Bomb
The static bomb uses radius like the Heart Beat Sensor and distorts the sound and vision for people caught with in its radius. Vision starts to go towards grayscale the closer you get to the source and audio is dimmed and a static type noise is played. The Bomb lasts for 15 seconds and is on a 45 second timer. While inside the Static Bombs radius, Phantoms invisibility is perfectly invisible and Static does 20% more damage to people within it. The idea is to not take away a players control but to hinder their feedback. This makes Static very easily counted by decent players who can play though the distraction.
Ability 2 - Sonic Stim
Primarily an escape tool. Activating Sonic Stim increases your forward speed by 25% and regens her health at a moderate pace (15 per second) for a duration of 4 seconds. During this time her shots fired are made quieter and people close hear an almost echo effect like when you have been shell shocked. If anyone here has been punched very hard in the head you will know the kind of sound I am talking about. However, I like the idea of that being reduced by the number of people standing inside her static bomb to allow her to combine them more effectively. Something like -1sec per sec someone is in the bombs radius. I should also mention her regen persists though damage. Making her the equivalent of a heavy for them 4 seconds.
The Weapons…
Short ranged, high damage SMG with low capacity. Its all about speed and distraction. Trying to fight one on one and face to face should not end pretty for Static. Sneaky is the way forward.
Her Place…
She could take the place of what would normally be considered a “Recon” in her role. She should be up close and personal. Something like… “Aggressive Support Assassin”. She works on the idea of fear, letting her enemies know she could be near by the effect of her Static Bomb but also disorientating them should be an interesting effect. Due to her expected playing position, her Sonic Stim should allow her to not rely on Medics. Damage output wise, I am thinking around that of Fragger. High damage per shot and skill rewarding. Her Tech Tool could help her deal with C4 and other tech based objectives. She is the definition of a glass cannon really.
