Ability#1:Spike strip.
You can throw down a spike strip in an AOE of 2m doing 40dps if standing on it.
It does not damage generators or EV, but it does slow down the EV by 70% until it is repaired.
It has a cool down of 34 seconds, but you can “reclaim” it lowering the cooldown to 4seconds, and reseting it down to 0 if 4 or more seconds have already been removed from the cooldown.
The ability lasts for 12seconds but can be taken away earlier by molitovs, airstrikes, nades etc.
It gets blown away by wind after 12seconds.
If you stand on the strip it does 40dps and will keep one nail in you for every second standing on the nails.
The nails do 3dps until you can get healed, removing the nails.
The strip does 60dmg on direct impact on enemy merc.
It does not affect friendlies nor the friendly EV nor there deployables.

Seeing that he can’t trow ammo/health, can’t spot and can’t fast repair makes me think he must be an assault.
I’d rather play Nader or Fragger as they seem to be the better assaults. Or just Stoker since their abilities have things in common but Stoker also supplies the team with ammo!

Why would you need to slow down a broken EV? It already doesn’t move…
or are you saying that it has a speed debuff until it gets destroyed and repaired again? If that’s the case I really don’t like it since it changes EV sections of maps too much. Looking at the EVs normal movement speed and then taking only 30% would surely feel like almost not moving at all and can lead into some cheap tactics like breaking the tires and then just not destroying it so the enemy can’t get rid of the debuff or breaking the tries as soon as the ev is repaired. It’s already hard enough to get the EV to the objective sometimes. Such an ability would make it close to impossible against some teams.

Nice idea but I don’t think it would be balanced. The ability is just too annoying and doesn’t fit an assault role.

My bad.
And it would do a speed debuf to the EV.
If you think its OP we could lower it to 50%?

This seems okay, but to be honest I don’t think a spike strip works on a fire support. It has no offensive ability whatsoever. On top of that it’s temporary, but can be exploited to make it somewhat permanent…

At the cost of having to stay in one spot for a marginally useful effect.

I don’t think that this ability is really that useful to players in this game.

Too much like Proxy, minus the overblown offensive advantages.

You could make the ability paired with a riot shield and put it on an Assault. You’d have to change a lot of things to this character though. Including the health and speed, they’re really weak for abilities like “put semi-useless spike strip down”. The weapons should be changed to reflect this as well.

I’m sorry, but in practice the spike strip would only work as a body, just like Bushwhacker’s turret at the current moment.

@JJMAJR it has strong offensive and defensive capabilities.
Example, you can throw it in a group of people etc.
