Background background: DefenseCorp is one of the largest research and development corporations in the world. DefenseCorp employs the best and brightest inventors and scientists to develop technologies for both civilian and military defense use (read no offensive technologies). Various projects were in development before the incident shook the security world.
Character background: Project Orion developed the personal flight system(essentially a jetpack). Patricia McAllin “aka” Rocket was one of the tester for the P.F.S. Bold and outgoing, Pat dreamed of contributing to society and to fly. The P.F.S. run off of a mini-fusion reactor that was developed DefenseCorp, which provides the power for the twin Orion rockets. The system, originally intended for military use came equipped with mini missiles in that were attached on the shoulder area. After extensive training Rocket was to give a demonstration for military officials, they were thoroughly impressed. They however weren’t impressed by the price of each system. With not enough buyers the project was scrapped and the prototype put into storage. Rocket not wanting to see the technology go to waste “borrowed” it while the company was in shock from the incident. Passionate Rocket now travels the world seeking to help the common people against injustices.
Appearance: Rocket has an average build but has a toned upper half due to needing to withstand the pressure from the suit. The P.F.S or jump suit is consisted of the chestplate, shoulders and rockets. The chestplate stops are around the torso area to allow for more agility while running, it runs slightly lower on the back to hold weapons. The shoulder area does not cover the upper arms to allow for full movement. The mini-fusion reactor and twin rockets are located on the back. The entire suit is painted orange. Rocket wears a muddy green t-shirt underneath, with jeans, leather belt and leather boots. The head area is not covered by the system. Rocket has shot ginger red hair that she wears in pigtails and has freckles.
Think assault space marines from warhammer 40k but less chunky, stripped down and streamlined
Loadout:
Primary: Auto shotgun – a full auto shotgun that has good spread, low-medium damage per shot and above average fire rate. 8 shots per magazine with maximum ammo stores allowing only for 1.5 magazine reload.
Compared to single shot shotguns(aura’s and proxy’s) it has lower damage per shot, slower reload speed, less max ammo, higher spread, and has a higher fire rate (so sustained DPS).
Assault rifle – same as other classes assault rifles ala Skyhammer
Secondary: Single shot pistol – regular single shot pistols, to even out her loadout, no magnums.
Moderate damage, firerate, reload.
Jump: Rocket powers up her rockets and jumps in a high arc in front of her. Jumps for about 4-5 meters infront of her, with a height of 2.5 meters. Upon impact with a surface nearby enemies are knocked back by a bit(about 0.3 feet). Moderate cooldown time

Afterburners: Rocket charges up her rockets and jumps into the air for 4 seconds. During the 4 seconds she has full directional mobility and is faster (410 to 440). Firing while flying is less accurate(increased recoil). Long cooldown time.
Barrage: Rocket uses her many missiles that are located in the shoulder area of her armour and lays waste to the area infront of her. In a cone infront of her for 1.5 meters 20 missiles are shot and deal large amounts of damage to enemies within, they will continue to spread until they hit something. Can be used while in the air(you don’t stop falling but it just fires until out of missiles). Missiles are aimed with where your reticle is aimed at. Missiles have a small-moderate aoe. Missiles also damage Rocket should an enemy run up at you or you choose to aim too close. Long-moderate cooldown.
Passive: Boost – Rocket can jump higher than other mercs due to the orion rockets giving her a slight boost.
The theme as you can clearly see is rockets aka flying explosive projectiles. I originally thought about giving her a rocket launcher but thought otherwise because it would be overpowered and wouldn’t allow her to run very fast. I still wanted he to have a beefed up gun so it was the auto shotgun(which no one uses), as a side note I think giving fragger some auto shotgun’s in his loadouts would work well thematically. Feedback would be nice, and would motivate me to make more(we need more lore).
