mercenary name : Kali
mercenary class : engineer
hit points : 80
advised speed : 450
mercenary background :
Kali is a self-taught indian computer and robotics engineer who hacked the CDA headquarters for fun whan he was just 18. To avoid prison for many years, he has been offered a bargain : to work for the CDA, hacking what was ordered and handling back the information he found. He accepted, however he always had bad relations with his superiors, which he thought were too dumb to understand his work. So after 5 years, he broke the contract, threatening to broadcast all his knowledge to the highest bidder. He is now short on cash, needing a large sum of money for a “personal project” he always keeps quiet about.
ability 1
hack deployable : allows Kali to convert any enemy deployable to his team’s allegiance. Up to two deployables can be converted at a time. Any destroyable deployable can be converted.
Ability range : 20 meter
ability cooldown : 20 seconds
ability activation time : 4 seconds
ability 2 :
passive ability.
self-made interferometer : allows Kali to detect any deployable in a 15 meter range around. The device must stay in Kali’s detection radius for 3 seconds before he can detect it.
ability 3 : objective specialist (same as any engineer merc)
primary weapon : hochfir
secondary weapon : DE.50
melee weapon : Stilnotto Stilletto
note : My idea came from the impressive amount of deployables being available in this game. I have spent several games destroying 50 + deployables, so i thought it could be tactical to capture deployables, without being OP either. Capturing a turret, a mine or a health station can change the outcome of a battle. Considering it is still a situational ability, i thought of improving it by allowing 2 devices to be captured at the same time. I’m not 100% sure about the weapons, i focused more in the hack deployable ability. I still see a low-mid range primary weapon, matching with Kali’s ability range which are 15 and 20 meter. So i view him as a close combat engineer. I hope you liked this.
Cheers,
