Appearence:
Haze is your typical muscle-bound bloke, but don’t let his appearances fool you - he’s as smart as he’s heavy! With height of 6.5 feet and 220 lbs of body mass, this guy poses a serious threat to anything that crosses his path. Wearing prototype Lazarus-class body suit, equipped with painkiller re-breathers, he manages to keep himself healthy while lobbing grenades at friend and foe alike. And let’s not forget his death-dealer wares - a Stark rifle and silenced handgun is all he needs to take down those foolish enough to enter his “Valley of Death” 'nades. And in case things get ugly, he can lob a few “Emergency DEcontamination 'nades” to keep his crew out of death’s reach.

Here’s how he looks - ht tp://i.imgur.com/hIxo3vt.png?1

Background:

Haze was a member of “Asclepius Systems” - a multinational megacorporation that produces high quality medicinal equipment, as well as top quality, military-grade drugs. He belonged to the Quality Assurance Team (a.k.a “rat pack”, as Haze jokingly christened it), bio-modified and genetically enhanced to sustain severe harm from any physical or mental hazard. Most of airborne pathogens and physical trauma he endured during his work in the field left no visible traces on his well-being - until he danced with SM (short for “Sanguine Mercy”) virus, that is. This man-made virus strain was supposed to be the ultimate bioweapon of Asclepius Systems, a product of their secret research and development team. Those who came in contact with it experienced coagulation of blood inside arteries & veins, leading to extreme blood-pressure fluctuations, hemorrhaging and, finally, cardiac arrest.

For testing purposes, the virus was released airborne on the AS testing grounds somewhere near Manchester. Haze’s entire crew was almost immediately incapacitated - a fate that he escaped by tackling the only man who had shown no symptoms of infection whatsoever. It turned out that the re-breather on this new prototype body-suit (aptly code-named “Lazarus”) filtered 99% of any contamination, be it biological or radioactive. Thus, he stripped the suit off the hapless researcher, encased himself within it and escaped the facility with a little bit of sneaking and non-lethal takedowns.

Ultimately, he’d became a well-sought mercenary, guarding many influential people throughout his carrier and watching over asses of quite a few military groups. His ability to stay in the midst of an area, heavily denied to others by the use of agressive chemical compounds and/or toxins, was regarded as “exceptional” by those with enough cash to pay for his services…

… all of this overshadowed by a haze of hatred and revolt towards Asclepius Systems, now a distant memory buried under tons of radioactive fallout - courtesy of Dirty Bomb.

Loadout:

Primary:

  • Stark AR

Secondary:

  • Silenced Pistol (Selbstadt .40)

Being a guinea pig for such powerful company like Asclepius Systems has its benefits - you get to be trained & bred into a super-soldier that values scalpel-precision entries over guns-blazing style. Thus, Haze’s weapon training consisted mostly of fiddling with the Stark rifle (ideal for reconnaissance field work and careful dispatching of threats) and Silenced Pistol (the less people notice your presence, the easier for you to treat them with a VoD. Happy Hour, you twats!)

Painkiller Grenade (“EDEn”):

These babies earned Haze a lot of dosh throughout his carrier as a mercenary, to the point that many Dogs of War became fond of grenades rolling under their feet (God have mercy on poor s.o.b’s). Thanks to the bulky, athletic constitution, Haze can lob 'em quite far from his initial position, providing for on-the-field healthcare for those on the front lines. Positive side-effect: increased movmement speed while in the “healing mist”. Negative side-effect: 24 hour-long erectile dysfunction.

  • AoE heal similar to that of Aura’s device (applies to allies only).
  • Increased movement speed while in haze (applies to allies only).

Tear Gas Grenade (“VoD”):

Regarded as nigthmare in the heat of battle, the VoD’s spread chaos among enemy ranks. When Haze rains on enemy parade he does it with style - the toxic cloud left in VoD’s wake slows movement speed and reaction time for all (yes, I’m looking at YOU too!) combatants who linger in it. But wait - there’s MORE! If you are crazy enough to overstay your welcome, you will begin to squit like on your grandma’s funeral, reducing your vertical and horizontal field of view until either you go blind or get the f**k out of there. Pretty convenient, won’t you agree?

  • Reduced movement speed while in the cloud (applies to everyone).
  • Procedural reduction to the vertical and horizontal Field of View (applies to everyone).

A medic with 150hp, a strong weapon like the Stark AR and a disabling crowd-control nade would be stupidly OP, being slow wouldn’t make up for that

May not agree with all the specifics, but I like the idea of a heavy medic, someone who could actually go for revives under fire without making it suicidal.
