New Merc: Corpsman

(effervescentCrayon) #1

Alright so I had the idea for a new solid medic build, though I haven’t finished all the details.
I’ll go ahead and put what I do know

Corpsman would be similar to fragger that he gets all the same rifles, pistols and knives.
Though of course he wouldn’t get the frag grenades

His special ability 1 would be the ability to revive a guy up at 2 or 3 times the speed as a normal player would.

While his special ability 2 could be something like healing grenades, which will heal a number of people inside a small blast radius.

I still have no real idea about what skills he should have nor nationality he should be.

I am open to more ideas that I will add to this thread.

Moved the post to the correct forum section, you can find it here: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/15958/new-merc-corpsman?new=1

Apologies for placing it incorrectly

so basically a really tanky, high dmg medic, but with a significantly clumsier revive? seems interesting something of the sort sounds like it would be fun to play with. Not sure if they would ever give a medic weapons like the mg though, though with his much weaker revives I could see assault rifles.

There is nothing stopping a medic with minimal “Rambo” potential(weak revive skill, slow AoE healing with low self-impact) from getting an LMG as a weapon.

In fact, a medic based around holding an area from extended sieges via fire suppression and slower regeneration, instead of localized invulnerability(Aura), would be an interesting addition to the medic roster.

Probably would have to wait till we’re at “season 2” or whatever SD will call the point in the game’s development at which they feel comfortable mixing classes(Assault+Medic)

yeah they already have an original set of 20 mercs they want to release with. Guess there isnt a definite reason to not have a medic with it, though I think they’re mostly keeping the assault rifles and lmgs for assault classes since they’re defined more by fire power. But seeing mercs that blur the line between classes would be quite cool to see down the line.
