New Merc - Banzai

Profile:
Banzai as young japanese man wanted to continue family tradition and like his father and grandfather he joined army. Thanks to military upbringing by father soon he was able to join the special forces. He gained respect from the bests and was one of them… until one mission - with his squad he got ambushed. Enemy had more soldiers. The only thing he could do was looking at his friends deaths as he was helpless. He was the only one who survived but lost both of his legs in explosion. After years of disability and madness caused by PTSD he has been gifted a chance: hi-tech mechanical legs. Soon after he went to London and became mercenary. Now as insane man with self-made H.E.A.T Blade he spreads terror among enemies, fighting in the name of the ones who he called friends.

Abilities:

  1. Speed Boost - His mechanical prosthetic legs does not only let him walk or run but also can be charged to temporarily increase his moving speed. After using, Banzai’s forward moving speed instantly increases to 520 (or even more) making him able to charge at enemy, cross the gaps between covers and move to te objective much faster or flee when low on health. However speed doesn’t aply for left, right (also ADAD - left-right dash technique) and back -walking to not make him unhitable. Ability lasts for about 3-5 seconds and has cooldown of about 10-15 seconds and can be turned off for faster recharge but cannot be used until fully recharged.

  2. H.E.A.T. Blade - Banzai is also equiped with special thermal sword (katana or other japan blade as there is already katana in game) which after heating deals 130 damage being able to kill all mercs (but Tanks) in one hit. The Blade has attack duration of about 800-1000ms making it slower than Katana/Cricket but with 1-hit kill potential its not a problem. However the H.E.A.T. Blade has to charge before use: after being swapped to player needs to wait 2-4 seconds to heat it up. Before heating up blade cannot be used despite the need of being held in user’s hands. Because of that standard melee weapons aren’t useless and the blade itself isn’t OP in panic situations.

Primary: MP-400 (main), Tølen MP, Empire-9
Secondary: M9 (main), Caulden, Selbstadt .40
Melee: Beckhill Combat Knife (main), Stilnotto Stiletto, Kukri.
Because of his very powerful CQB weapon (HEAT Blade) Banzai’s primary weapons are Machine Pistols.

Summary (Usage): Banzai is low-health but very agile and fast merc ideal for surprising enemies and winning 1v1 in short combat. His low health makes him very squishy in direct mid/long range combat and against shotguns but because of his Speed Boost ability he can outmaneuver his enemies and end them up with his HEAT Blade. He can still fight at longer ranges with his machine pistols but he is way better in VeryCQB.
I said he is flanker because instead of head-on charging enemy lines he can flank them and by using both abilities kill whole unsuspecting enemy team within seconds.
However he can be easily defeated when kept at long enough distance and by checking back routes (when def) or narrow corners (when attack) before entering. Even while Banzai is deadly against 1 or 2 enemies he is useless against whole team. Also Banzai’s Speed Boost restricting him to move faster only when moving forward doesn’t make it easier for Banzai to dash left and right while using main weapon so the ability can be used only to rush, escape or cross the line of fire.
