New Merc : BALLISTIC

(jubilantManatee) #1

An ex police officer who was stranded during the evacuation when the dirty bomb went off in London.

He hates all mercenaries by the nature of his previous occupation, though he needs am income, so here he is on the battlefield making a living off his training. He offers snide comments targeting the various meecs.

Ballistic is a defensive merc. He or she can deploy a aoe station that reduces explosive damage within its radius.

Or as an alternate, he can throw Ballistic vests that offer short lived explosive protection.

He or she also has a Ballistic riot shield that can be equipped to absorb incoming damage.

He could also be used to introduce the automatic street sweeper shotgun.

And also introduce a Ballistic baton melee weapon.

Very similar to my Bull suggestion. Little vague but I’m all for a riot shield mercenary.

we need turtle wall alternatives a riot shield is one of the most suggested but would he be able to shoot when using the riot shield and how big would the riot and it health too . too many things to take care of but i like the idea  and maybe to make the shield more realistic that it could take a lot of bullets we can say ''during the dirtybomb attack sientifics had created a mini anti radiation shield that take both bullets explosion and radiation ( like the wall in dome and excustion maps ) ‘’

Armor-giving mercs come up a lot: assuming armor doesn’t stack or regenerate, then I’d consider them balanced, depending on the amount of health provided. In DIrty Bomb, 25 HP means a WHOLE lot more than it does in a game with near-instant time-to-kill. - Especially for lighter mercs. - I’m curious if armor would just act as health packs to low HP mercs, however - similar to a sparks health pack - I’m unsure if this is good or bad.

Food for thought.

Riot-shields seem just un-fun if they can move: it’d be like an beefier and non-damaging version of rhino, if done wrong.
