New Maps, Opeation_V2_R1 and Operation_XF5U

I first released Operation_V2_R1 as an Allied Attack map and then i Converted it to an Axis Attack map named Operation_XF5U with my XF5U models in place of the V2 rockets as new Axis Destroyable Objectives.

After you released these maps, have you seen if any servers have had them? (Sometimes is is hard to get the server admins to use your maps.)

Will you map for ETQW too?

I have seen them on some test servers.

It is going to be on the new Campaign for Bunker2 Server in a few days.

Still trying to get it on Bunker1 server.

Yes, i am sure i will map for ETQW, should be interesting!

Sorry for my noob-question hijack, but when you say terrain do you mean the textures on the hills and stuff?

Yeah the water was a request by my buddies at Bunker.

It took me awhile to get it the way i wanted it, see the shader for it, lots of commented out lines, lol.

Well, thanks to the Guys over on B2 Server for putting my map in the rotation however when i played it with about 30 players on the server i realized how bad the Playability of the map Sucked!

So, i am going to Completely Rework the map.

I am going to reduce the size greatly.

I realized that i have to “Channel” the Attacking Players to the Objective, there is just too much space for them to run around currently.

I am chalking this up as a learning experience.

The first Destructible Objectives were too easy for the attacking team so i have to resolve that.

Also i need to make it where there is a smooth transition from Section 1 of the map to Section 2 when the first objectives are complete.

The Documents Objectives were too hard for the attacking team so i am going move the South Gate where it is close to the attacking teams Spawn.

I am going to remove Almost Half of the Open Area in the Second Section and reconfigure it so that the Attacking team is Channeled to the Objective.

I am going to Add more Objects for Cover like rocks and or buildings.

I am going to do away completely with the Oasis section.

If you guys that played it have any suggestions please post them here.

When i am through with the Rework i am confident that the map will be Good on Playability.

Again Thanks to the guys on B2 for hosting the map. Sorry it is not up to Par at this time but i will be working on it very hard until i am satisfied that it will be a Good release.
