Yeah very true. It won’t work out with such layout, even without much of detail, cos all players will be seen.
You gotta separate players somehow, or work out a good vis design. Both are quite neccesery with most of the map styles.
Would this be better? or not good enough yet? Because I was thinking at temple final, where the first part has quite the open view aswell, and my places would be way smaller then the ones in temple…
The pink things on the left of the bridge would be crates or barrels stacked to block the view, if this kills even more fps, I could easily take it away.
in my opinion it is not worth…
it is a much too usual map except of one point.
you dont destroy to get nearer to obj but to get opponents farer from obj ^^
however… it is just destroying some things.
for such a kind´of boring gameply you definetly , in my opinion, need a better map layout.
Nothing like complex scripts and awesome gadgets can’t fix. Tho you’ll need some vis blocking in the map(maybe something like an underground bunker).
Maybe if you had mountains around the river, like this:
But put structural brushes inside the detailed terrain, so it blocks vis.
The map could work, though it could only be played on smaller servers. Maybe you should make something a bit more interesting with the “supply line” theme, like in this map:
