Rear one Here times few pics of my map where I now 2 weeks to seats and my first beta however I is no fan of beta map now therefore legend I times test map thus after the beta then the final hopes you pleases the Pics and my map is 2 divisors a first map plays April 1944 in Solonto Streets and the 2 zone is Streets OF of shelter of ok.
Goals.Map By Kaforsven/etmap

Goals of the allied ones:

  1. Tank repairing.
  2. Tank to the house driving.
  3. COMMAND post office establish.
  4. House entrance blow up with the tank.
  5. Radar stealing.
  6. with radar escaping.

Goals of the Germans:

  1. House defend.
  2. Tank destroying
    3rd COMMAND post office establish.
  3. Entrances defend.
  4. Gold guarding.
  5. Not with GOld escaping leaving.

I saw this on another forum and would like to give it a try, if you need any help testing out the map (I gather that’s what you’re doing, rather than releasing it at the moment). Feel free to PM me on these forums with some contact info.

Should your testing team already be established and not in need of any more ppl, then I look forward to the eventual release of the map. The screens look interesting, best of luck (I can also try and help with the English translation should you need it, no offense intended).

Well, unfortunately after playing this, I’m disappointed.

There are loads of issues with this map, the most glaring being that half of the objectives for the Germans and the Allies you can’t even achieve, another couple of objectives for each have no information available and the Command Map could be improved.

In the Limbo Menu, you have the Germans constructing the tank barriers and the Allies needing to blow them up, neither is possible. The tank serves absolutely no purpose, other than to establish a forward spawn right by the “bank”, which is really just the only house that has any props in it that’s accessible. It has tables and chairs and beds and it’s most certainly not a bank. You could have at least put a safe in the place that you had to blow up in order to get the gold, rather than having it sitting on a bed. I also don’t see how a forward spawn is needed on a map as small as this…Very little to build or construct and you have a couple of missing textures.

You had a single poster/bullentin board on one of the walls, in a very strange place. While players will most likely use this path, civilians prior to this engagement and/or destruction of the town most likely wouldn’t have…but that’s minor. Nice touch with the 88’s and the cars, though I would have included a mention of Menzel in your readme, especially when looking at the pk3 it’s evident that’s where you got it from.

How long did making the map take out of curiosity? It has potential, if you’re willing to put in the time, there’s a lot of work to do. Good luck with the next Beta and if you need any help or ideas…feel free to PM me.

well i msut say i was wooed by your name ETmap_Probut what i saw just sets you up for criticism. First off, wheres teh heart in this map. The buildings are squares with hoels i nteh mfor window and doors (and bad texturing) no windows, trim, nothing, no heart at all. its like you were broed one day and whipped this up. it is small aswell , i didnt even waste my time with the tank and barriers. Also the only one good building i saw was one that looked EXACTLY like hte one from Splash damages radar. i mean exactly, except you took some rooms out. Also the lack of detial insied/outside buildings gives us the impressuion taht you just whipped this up not caring whatso ever about it. This may be harsh but too many peopel release unplayable maps that have no care put into them. This has your name on it, you should have mroe pride in it. It may be tedeaous but it poays off. i have been working on my map for 6 months and its not finisihed , it almsot is but its mostly endless horus of detailing.
It is a good start though. you can salvage this map buy first of all detailing, then change the layout, make it so you cant just run everywhere, make taller fenses to block people, buildingshtat span a whole street so you cant jsut cut through places and so on. try to keep people where you want them going. Also make it so teh tank has a role, same with barriers, and finally increase the map size.
Good luck and hope you continue with this map, it has potential.

I disagree with making places you can’t go. Too many maps have the most interesting aspects of them in places you can’t reach, don’t make the same mistake. Most of the maps that do that do not become popular and wind up in the recycle bins, if they are ever downloaded to begin with.

I’ve played over 160 maps for Enemy Territory and well over half of them have not met up to expectations and been wastes of time both for the mapper and for the people who download them. I would also suggest that you don’t shy away from making the map bigger or more detailed, including putting some music files in for radios or doing a newscast for the limbo menu…

Right now there are loads of city maps available, including, but not limited to: Marketgarden, Stalingrad, Xposed, Normandy Breakout, Battle of the Bulge (Wacht Am Rhein Beta 1), Alleys (Drakir’s map, not to be confused with alley aka Operation Gunfire), etc, etc. (all of which are great maps with the exception of Operation: Gunfire)…

I’m sorry to say but your map will most likely have trouble finding an audience unless you do vast improvements to the map and expand it quite a bit. It does seem rushed, but I would think that this is one of your first maps (if not your first) and want to cut you a break. So I’m assuming you put in about a month plus to this project…tried your best but ran out of time due to personal problems or work/relationship commitments and decided to quickly finish it…

I don’t know. Commando and I are right though, this map has a lot of potential but unless you put more work into it…the work you did put in will be for naught.
