Hey guys here are some screenshots of a map ive been working on. It was originally supposed to be a trickjump-friendly arabian themed map. However ive kind of run out of ideas at the moment and would be interested to hear any of your suggestions of a layout/objectives.
new map project - need some inspiration
Based from these images only good suggestion people can come with is related to style and such imo, if you want suggestions on layout and objectives, giving the .map, or detailed images of everything and aerial images, also vertical overview of the entire map, or parts of it in each image if its too big to fit in one
heres an aerial view⌠dont know how much help itâll be though, i havent done much.
My basic idea was to have the axis occupying the huge palace/mosque building at the back of the city, and the allies starting on the outskirts and having to work their way inwards through some chokepoints maybe. Not sure about the objectives. Maybe the allies should be trying to steal gold off the axis in the palace? Or just capture a flag there? I want most of the fighting to happen in the streets.
For the layout im guessing there will need to be some large vis-blockers somewhere so players cant see too much from the rooftops?
I like the flying moments⌠making the truckâs route should be done really precisely
Hmm I donât think itâs senseful to lose a time for almost dead game
Greetings,
Igloo
omg I just had a pwnage idea lol
instead of a truck make an escortable flying carpet, and everything is on the roofs, if you fall down you fall into like yellow fog (sandstrom?) and die xD but to get from roof to roof you have to cross wooden planks or jump (to keep the tj theme)

haha a flying carpet would be awesome lol. I also like the idea of having everything on the rooftops⌠that way itâs more of an âexclusively trickjumpingâ type map. Rather than having some players taking the âeasierâ ground level route.
Thanks for the ideas everyone, ill keep this post updated on progress.
It must be imageshack that is messing up, some of the screenshots I posted are also missing.
They should appear again soon.
I dont know if you did a -vis compile, but I would start worrying about the FPS.
Apart from that, very good looking, especially all the round corners and small alleys.
