New map for ET: Loffys_Tram_Prefab

(Loffy) #1

Hallo!
Here’s a new custom map for ET, called Loffys_Tram_Prefab. It’s a good old “allies must steal the gold”-map.
It’s a fully functional ET map, and I hope you’ll enjoy playing it.

Download the PK3, with the .map-file included (that’s why I called it a prefab) here:
Site 1: http://www.acc.umu.se/~loffy/mapping/loffys_tram_prefab_folder/loffystramprefab.htm

Mirror (identical file): http://www.pcgamemods.com/dl/1b1685d0d4c776628ab964653ec772d7/loffys_tram_prefab.zip

The project started as an attempt to select and save only the essential entities from the blockbuster success mapp Loffys Tram. And to make this saved file available to all, as a prefab. But the project grew. I couldn’t stop mapping (i.e. adding stuff). “Just one more tree.” Suddenly, it was more than a small prefab… the monster was alive.

Enjoy!

lol…blockbuster success…lol
I like it…but there was already like 3 remakes of that map b4 you remade it too.

<<<<<<<<agrees, mapping is addictive!!!

Hmmm Needs more spawn points loffy…we get tired of spawning on top of one another… and maybe move that axis spawn point…

Hallo LoffysTram-lovers!
I began my tribute before there were any conversions at all out there. Wolfmap.de.gaming-networks.net, for example, writes: “…neues von Loffy. Er begann diese Map als armes Tribute an die RtCW-Map ‘mp_tram’ lange bevor die ET-Konvertierung von ‘mp_tram’ erschien.” And, I remade the map from scratch - no decompile.
Now, about the little brother, loffys_tram_prefab: Heirpie, lol, wtf happened yesterday - there were 1000 people in there, on loffys_tram_prefab, fragging away. Totally shit-storm extreme, to the max! Ha ha, that was crazy. People in the skies!
Thanks for the feedback!

Hey Loffy, why no airstriking on your other TRAM map ?

(Loffy) #8

That’s a good question. Seriously. It’s of importance to map flow design. I reasoned like this: It’s hard enuff for the allies, going uphill, and mines + airstrikes will (perhaps?) be too much for them. So I placed one large clip-weapon in the sky. (To stop the airstrikes.) It covers the sky completely.
I guess one could have chosen to have certain areas, like hilltops or whatever, airstrike:able. Just to give some room for airstrikes.
I was afraid I would create a “mission impossible” map for the allied forces.

 GOOD ANSWER !!!
I assumed that was the reasoning.

Thanks :drink:

Why revive 7-year-old topic!?!?!?

(Mateos) #12

For the good old times. Sadly I started ET in 2006, and just came here last year… Been “active” just this year here. Missed some good stuff
