New HUD idea

I’ve been playing ET and new hud style poped into my mind. Above is the view w/o any explanations.

I’m gonna explain it a bit:

1 - Power bar (sprinting, jumping)
2 - Player stance and health status (green is armor)
3 - Forgot to put this number, doh!
4 - Rank instignia. Text bellow is a shor rank name (lt, sgt, pvt…). Orange bar on the right is “leveling bar”
5 - Skills. Level on skill insignia and leveling bars (bellow those pics there must be an xp counter but I have forgot it)
6 - Player status (with helmet, under aura, disguise, flak jacket, etc)
7 - Bullet type, weapon, ammo. That red bar on the right is heat
8 - Charge bar

So what do you think? Worth putting it to mod?

which are the hud files? I really need to know that. Can someone help me with this hud?

AFAIK it’s entirely in the CGame code.

I think I found it. Its in cgame/cg_draw.c. It starts at about 3469 line. But really, can anyone help me to program this?

… too much unnecessary gimmick if ya ask me
… i prefer a clean hud, so dont count on me xD

I’d say its a bit cluttered too. I prefer not to waste space on stuff like Rank, Skills and Player stance.

And unless it gets added to ETPro (no idea if they’re even going to release another version) or another big mod, no one will use it.

well I think I won’t add stance, it will took a lot of mb… Well imo rank looks cool in this place, plus I’m going to add some new features depending on rank, so It’ll be a must know

If you are using MS Visual C++ than you can search all the files.
In this case for example for “mown down”.
Not sure in which menu you can find this option.
