Territory Control(?)
This just an example I quickly made in photoshop.
It’s a Conquest type mode with King of the Hill thrown in. Basically you start with 3 “points” or territories in this case; the territories in green are locked at the beginning, the one in red is the only one unlocked for now. Let’s say team 1 starts at the top most part of the map, they move down into the territory, now there goal is to capture this area by completely eliminating the other team off the territory. It would work similar to arming and disarming C4, if team 2, for example eliminated team 1 while the capture was half way, there capture would start and it would go back and forth until it is captured. Example below.
Once the territory is captured, say for example team 1 captured it they would move on to the next lower territory. When they capture the last territory the middle one will lock. Team 2 will have to capture the lower territory in order to unlock the middle territory and so on. Game ends when the time runs out, when a territory is captured game time will increase, whoever has held the most territories the longest wins.
I understand there is pros and cons to this game mode which I will list below and will add anyone else’s to this list to polish the game mode more. I understand campers will be an issue so maybe have the majority of the enemy team killed say half or 3/4, and new maps may have to be made for it, for example a lot more routes out from spawn, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Let me know what you guys think, maybe this can be an actual thing.
