I saw this on one server and got it, if anytone wants i can send.

It’s a very well done map. Hard to explain, but the allies haev to destroy powere generator in this really cool axid base. allies start on a beach thing. there are lots of paths to go through, and it’s way better than trainyard.

i really don’t like trainyard.

I like it. But i found a bug. U can’t select the forward spawn and if you have it you still spawn on beach, and sometimes, when you don’t even have the flag you alreay spawn there.

I posted this on the SD general forums… please read it…

I’d like to ask all the guys who go on those servers to ask the server admins if they could remove carnage.pk3 from their rotation. That pk3 is 1 week old now, and at an early beta stage. Having this map on their servers set on “download able” means that they are letting many players get that file which has 10% of objectives & stuff working and is still missing textures & stuff.
The day I release the real map, guys will arrive on the servers and be confused because they’re going to have pk3 mismatches all the time

Please, close down those servers and don’t create confusion. I’m doing my best to release carnage in the next 2 days… so please respect my work guys

I don’t know how all those guys got this beta version of the map but I can assure you it’s a very early beta and it completely bugged. Please don’t take this file!!!
I know I made something much better than trainyard on this one since I had the mapping tools to get everything fully working. The final version should be ready today or tomorrow so please don’t distribute this very early bugged beta and wait for the final

I understood that I have to name a beta version map ‘xxx_beta’ etc.

You’re quite right, it’s a very bad idea to distribute betas with names that sound like they’re final, even for closed tests - it only needs one private tester to send it to a trusted friend and before you know it it’s all over the net. Better to use something like MYMAP-B1, MYMAP-B2, etc. and save MYMAP for when you’re really really sure the map is final.

ok here’s the real final of carnage… I have a few problems I pointed out in the readme but 99,999ù of the map is fully funtionnal. I’d like to thank Sock once again for all his help. I owe you a :beer: :drink:

Hey Marko you did a great job on this map, its much better then your beta version.
I have running the map on our public server ( 80.245.227.25:39563 ) also people can download the map from our site http://di.clanhome.nl/

I ran around on it a little today. I like the setup. I think this provides for some fun gunfights. However, unless I missed another route, it looks as though the door you blow is the only way in the main base. If this is the case, it is a very tight chokepoint for the allies to try to get through. I only ran around on it for 5 minutes so I may have missed seomthing. If thats the case, ignore this post :open_mouth:

hehe yeah you missed 2 other accesses, here’s the 3 ways in:

  • 1 gate in the axis base large wall
  • 1 team dorr that allied Cov Ops can open… you get there from an underground passage in the trenches
  • 1 little door on the right side of the large bunker at the back of the canyon
