I FOUND A LITTLE PROBLEM.

In order to get everything working on Linux I had to make a small change.
The fourth RTCW draft.def would not load under linux.
Removing the spaces and upper case letters seems to have fixed the problem.
I renamed the file to rtcw_ent.def and it loads now.

I’ll send a P.M. to Erik so he is aware.

nice still need to look in all of it have readed some of the readme file how to were to put it stuff.

I have a small problem with the chat & the chat_arm props, when I build my PK3 file & run it I get an orange (no texture) square directly under these chairs, that’s on the floor directly under where these chairs are standing. Any ideas what’s happening?

Probably the shadow texture is missing… Check you console.

Teleporters are in Erik’s entities.

HELP! I want to use the entities, but haven’t a clue what I need to put where, what do I need to put and where do I need to put it in 1.5.0 :frowning: I’m new to this map making thing (I’m pretty sure I know where to put the .def)

Well, first open up the pk3 and have a look at the readme file.

Put the file named “et_entites_updated_b2.def” in your scripts folder and you can delet the existing one or back it up somewhere on your hard drive.

The pk3 file is just like any map that you would add to ET.

Put it in your “etmain” folder

Just launch ET and bring down the console and type…

/map rtcw_ent_in_et_beta2

You will then be in the map and now can play with all the neat new toys :smiley:

Put the “.map” file in your “maps” folder.

Then open it up in Radiant and see how they are all set up to work.

You do not use this file with version 1.5 as this is the “Quaked” format .def file…1.5 uses an XML based entity menu system for ET.
You can search for radiant 1.5 entitiy update, I made a package a while back and I will be updating it once radiant 1.5 progresses a bit fruther.

Most people, if not all of the people here, will recommend that you use radiant 1.4 because 1.5 is not fully operational as of yet.

Did you put the .def file into the ET scripts folder that RADIANT uses ? (do you have another install?)
Did you download and install radiant 1.4 ?
…are there other.def files in that scripts folder ?
