Finally ! some good news !

Well played, it’s interesting that I predicted that when Raziel completely dissapered from being ‘active’.

I hope, you will communicate with community to deliver community servers, more maps, competitive support etc. like you showcased in the video.

2:47@3:07 Lets see what will be that “Next Level”
But Imo it will be more – Business has usual—

hey guys, great that the great news are out now! i was hyped since i read lokkis post on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Dirtybomb/comments/5dh2qe/sagan_on_dirty_bomb_and_farewell_for_now/dae00af ) although i am wondering what his position is now that his property is sold to chickencompany? :stuck_out_tongue:

Nevertheless … please be so kind as to fill out this TPS R…no … actually … please be so kind as to BEWARE to not step up the corporateism any more. Your streamlined Youtube-Videos are (in my humble opinion, at least) quite a good tool for a one-way-conversation which keeps any remarks at bay. Tho you make a really nice performance there, shoe. i give you that. Also the editing is nice  And the humour.

Nevertheless … i much more liked the devstreams. Nuffsaid. Micdrop. Oh … just to burn it in. Beware of corporateism. I hope your ramping up of staffing for DB goes well and i wish you and us all all the best! But beware of giving up on the congeniality of a less corporatey mindset.

Stay fabulous! (And release more frequently, huehue  )

Could you communicate the community a clear state of progress on migrating nexon’s tasks ? Because I already forecast people expecting you at the turn and accelerating things a lot in a couple of weeks.

I suppose the warchest forum maintenance early this year and the 24 hours maintenance earlier this week were parts of that, but the rest may take a while and some people inevitably won’t understand why you may have to put some development on hold for some time due to server migration or other reasons, originally due to nexon’s responsability.

(DarkangelUK) #7

This is the problem, individuals are ok, people are idiots. There will be whining in a weeks time because 6 new maps and 3 new mercs weren’t released now that SD has control. It’s gonna take a lot of time and work to get everything migrated over, then hopefully Q3/Q4 we see a good ramp up in content release… especially with a proper Christmas event and not a half assed one

The last server update? To quote shoe “Today we’re having an extended downtime for some significant back-end maintenance. We know this sucks, but it’s 100% necessary for future updates and improvements.”. This forums long, long downtime recently?

The decision that Nexon is quitting was done long time ago, can not remember when Paul posted his statement about “something important in the future” but there was enough time to be prepared now. Reading between the lines showed a lot of what will happen.

Btw, great news

(DarkangelUK) #9

Moving data over and fully integrating and fully launching, not counting teething problems, addition of EAC plus the additional workload all takes time… it’s not as simple as Ctrl+C Ctrl+V. Also decisions being agreed is the starting point, legal handling alone takes months, processes then need created, project work, planning and teams put in place takes a hell of a lot of time… all of which is taking away from development.

Bottow line more delays as we go Stand Alone. If only I had something hype to put under my teeth…Well…

maybe the time is right for some whining for linux server binaries? i mean … who wouldn’t want those? eh? nudge nudge

just give us the ded servers

(Wolf_Darkrose) #13

you know its funny. did anyone see him reading from a script? in almost if not all the videos he was reading from a script. i know its a long shot. but it could be that Nexon was keeping shoe to a script so he couldnt say **** or the funding would get cut? i dont know thats a long shot but with Nexon non US i hear some weird stuff they do.

(bontsa) #14

Or you know instead of some borderline unmedicated delusions you spout here, he’s simply reading from a script in each and every one of these Dev videos because it might just be more handier that way instead of memorizing these entire things -.-’

Good lord I thought I had sometimes too aggressive approach to Nexon, but you’re indeed taking it to the next level.

(DarkangelUK) #15

I think he could be on to something, I’m sure I saw a reflection in the glass of someone behind the camera pointing a gun at Shoe… Nexon have now let them go as the money earned from DB has paid the ransom! :o

(eitsch0r) #16

I’d second that. shoe. definitely had a less nervous look in the last video. THERE. MUST. BE. AN. EXPLANATION. FOR. THAT!!1one!!eleven
