okay… so last season… the trinkets were awarded but for some time appeared a little underwhelming… all of a sudden at a later date (weeks?/months? I forget)… they got fixed/updated and looked far better

is this the case with current trinkets also as they are not as good looking as the last seasons’ fixed variants IMHO.
