New class

I’ve thought about creating a new sniper class, given that many players choose covertops to be snipers and don’t use half their functions.

both sniper rifles would be moved to the new class, and improved. The sniper class might also nick the cvops mine-spotting ability (as this is compatible with being a long way from the enemy)

Any thoughts?

I kind of like it as I don’t like the covert (and the silenced sniper rifle) but I’d like to play sniper sometimes but I guess it won’t be easy, already had a peek at the cov ops code and you’ll have quite some work to do…

hmm i dont think about a new class, i’d rather have an ordinary sniper rifle! i mean a real sniper weapon which kills players immediatly by shooting into their head. i’d suggest to add a new sniper rifle, maybe an unsilenced one to get it balanced. and of course it has to be very inaccurate when shooting just without using the scope, like it is in rtcw. that’d be really nice imo.

The new class would have un-silenced weapons, and the semiauto rifle would be one shot kills, but very inaccurate without scope. The full auto one would be slightly more accurate but otherwise unchanged.

The reason for this is often I see servers with 5 or 6 covert ops, mostly snipers, and hardly any trying to penetrate the enemy.
