New Card Crafting System

(amazonCube) #1

I’m not really sure the point of the new card crafting system being as there is a specific currency you receive when recycling cards. On top of meeting the required “fragments” you have to either pay money for crafting kits or use up a lot of credits, (50k for Cobalt!). I don’t see the use in adding fragments when you could just recycle cards for credits and have crafting cost credits. 20k fragments and 50k credits for a random chance at a cobalt card is absolutely insane.

You can’t recycle cards for credits though?

Agree, it’s currently a cash grab. They will come out in a few days, say sorry and reduce the credit prices. Expect something too go on sale as well so it looks as if they are given you a guilt present but in all truth they are trying to get more money out of you. If they want to earn more money just do what we have been asking for since day one, separate skins from rarity or just make unique ones for real money, but no they rather choke you to death with rng.

(Nail) #4

there are no cash exclusives, everything can be had for less than a penny, what’s your problem ?,
I see NO cash grab, just bait for silly people

Release the new system, say it’s a work in progress and that things can change over time to cover their ass. Release said system with a event that distracts people from the issue. All that while having a store option to buy weapon kits, a function despite it being a WIP works as intended. They are pricing people out of getting these with in game currency, you can’t deny that just go look at the forums awash with people that express the same issue. It’s inflated so you want to pay real money for something and even though that’s expected from a f2p but to come from SD, it just doesn’t feel right at all. Would also mention the shit they had off the community leading up to this update, for alot of people this is the last straw.

While I don’t necessarily agree with their prices, nothing they are doing is a cash grab. Any F2P game needs to have in game currency be a grind, either in getting or getting enough to do what you want with it. This is to incentivise people to pay real money for convience. However, not a single thing in this game is behind a paywall.

I see no purpose either.

Weapon kits are nice, crafting kits too, but they could have introduced those under the old system with no problems.

The new system isn’t a cash grab, but it does in my opinion serve no purpose. Like seriously what is the purpose of it? What does it do that the old system doesn’t, other than save you clicking a few times when trading up.

They could have introduced the mass card trades under the old system too, it makes no sense to me.

Means you can downgrade if you want. You also don’t need to grind to x number of y rarity. you can just liquidate all the leads and irons right away.

(doxjq) #10

They could have done those both under the old system. I don’t see any purpose of the currency or price changes.

(AnonOmis1000) #11

What would they liquify them to? You have to specify a merc and rarity. This you just put all your junk into shards then use those shards however you want.

(Nail) #12

Welcome to Beta Testing, where they try stuff out

Fair point.

(N8o) #14

It looks like the intended purpose was convenience over the other system, a mass crafting button would have done the same thing with far less bullshit.

(AnonOmis1000) #15

mass crafting what? Loadouts for a single merc?

Everything Sovrakha says in the video is true, and his hypothetical example for golds is exactly what happened to me as I explained earlier, so it’s hard to accept this new system without being salty. All the money I spent on elite cases and hundreds of hours / millions of credits to grind up for my golds has all been taken away, and the value of everything I had is way lower than it was.

If anyone hasn’t actually watched the video, his reasoning is very well rounded. I honestly can’t see how anyone would disagree with him.

Because none of the cards have any value? If anything you got a steal because now it’s more expensive to upgrade. I cant undrestand how anyone things their cards, which had no value, got devalued. The “grind” as people like to call it, was it really a grind? Did you not enjoy those hours you spent playing this game?

Before the update I could have traded 24 of my 27 golds with 40,000 of the 41,000 credits I had. I would have had 4 cobalts, 3 golds, and 1000 credits left over.

Under this new system, cobalts are now worth 9.3 golds instead of 6, so I only have enough to make 2 cobalts instead of 4, and even if I want to make those 2 cobalts I need to some how find another 60,000 credits to do so.

How has my inventory not suffered from this update?

I guess it has. But the game is in beta. pretty much everythign is subject to change. And don’t give me any shit about “it’s been in beta forever”. So the fuck what?

I was never going to say such a thing. I’m just giving you my reasoning for why I feel salty about the new system and think it’s a huge kick in the nuts for people who already have a load of cards that are lower than cobalt. Silvers and golds have been affected the worst. I think I’m justified to feel a little salty.
